I'm happy we went with Pamalu. Uncle Jes and his crew put in quality work. They even went above and beyond by replacing our skylight, because uncle Jes noticed it was getting old, showing cracks and knew it would be a problem in the near future (potentially leak). Even if they put in more work/materials, their price was right on par or better compared to the rest of the competition. Definitely well worth it!

Very disappointed with the service. I set up an appointment to receive a quote. I was supposed to meet Jess at 9:00am. Unfortunately it was 9:10am and no one arrived. I called Jess who told me that he was stuck in traffic. This is Oahu, if you don't know there will be traffic at 8:30am, you are either oblivious or just don't know how to plan.

Anyway, I wait another 25 minutes and he still doesn't show up. Not only did Jess not show up, I got no phone call saying he wasn't showing up. I guess professionalism isn't a big deal for this company.

I checked apple maps, google maps, and waze, and there was no out of the ordinary traffic today. When I called at 9:10, Jess told me he was on Piikoi and King.

Using the traffic apps, it said the time to get to my location was 8 minutes.

Well after 25 minutes he still was not here. I will not consider using this company. And I bet someone from this company will come back with a sad excuse or not accept accountability.

Had Pamalu roofiing replace my roof a few years ago.
With all the heavy rains we have been having my patio roof started to have a little leak.
Called Jes and he came out super quick to take a look.
He found that ants had ate their way under the roof sheeting and water was getting in from there.
Jes killed all the ants and repaired the damage from the ants free of charge, even though they were not responsible for the ants.
I would recommend Pamalu to everyone.

I hired Pamalu Roofing to bring the remaining half of my monier tiled roof up to code (plywood, felt, etc.), finishing work that I had started with another roofing company two years ago. The experience was a night and day difference. Shortly after requesting an estimate, the owner, Jes Crisologo, came to my house to discuss the work then presented a timely proposal at a competitive cost. The roofing crew arrived as scheduled, and completed the work over a period of four days, working 8 hour+ days. They identified an issue with a previously installed skylight, and remedied it by installing proper flashing. Pamalu Roofing is a highly professional and seasoned roofing company with over 40 years of experience. They are my go to roofing company now, and I highly recommend them for any roofing job.

Our house being recently purchased needed a new roof over the: front lanai, garage, and back part of the roof. We also needed gutter replacement on the vertical side of the house, the tallest part of the house. On rainy days we had leaks coming from all four sides and middle area of the roof. On really windy days we had plastic roofing materials flapping and sailing into the yard. Our roofing situation was becoming stressful so we called two roofing companies but unable to connect with them for different reasons. Finally I came across Pamalu Roofing & Gutters LLC in Honolulu. Jess talked with me as my husband was at work. This was difficult as I know nothing about roofing and had so many concerns. Jess and his crew were professional and efficient. Jess discussed and developed more effective ways to funnel water off the roof without having to make an extensive gutter replacement, increasing the cost. Jess could have cost us a lot more money but instead extended the roofing shingles over the gutters, and no more leaks.
Our roof looks great all the way around. We are so relaxed and calm as we now have a roof that no longer leaks and we can now enjoy our home in Manoa. We highly recommend this company as they gave us a piece of mind, listened to our concerns and it did not over extend our budget.

Due to the recent heavy winds and rain, the shingles to my roof had completely blown off.
Jess Crisologo from Pamalu Roofing came to my home to do the estimate. He was very professional and passionate about helping me and my family. Working with my Insurance company was a ""pain in the ass"" but he, along with Pamalu Owner Diane, was very patient and understanding. You can tell that it was not about getting paid but it was a genuine feeling that they were willing to do anything to help fix our roof. In the end I was very happy with the results.

I would also like to thank cuzin Bird Mahelona and his crew for doing an awesome job!!

Recently had my standing seam roof replaced due to weather related damage. Same roof different contractor. I utilized Pamalu Roofing to replace the roof. There were many improvements that were a direct result of quality control, foreman Roger supervising the work daily, and the broad knowledge of roof fabrication. Without going into detail, Jess and Pamalu Roofing has proven to be an organization of reliability, integrity, and pride in keeping their customer satisfied.
