Johnny answered his phone on the first call and sent his crew to our place to assess the problem and then walked us through the fix. I have not used Palo Alto Roofing for any work yet, but I am giving five stars for John being such a helpful, conscientious person and having integrity!

I called him in a panic yesterday morning when I discovered that our roof was leaking quite a bit, and he said he would be able to come pretty quickly after another appointment. I would have happily paid him to repair our roof, but he encouraged me to try and find the person who originally put on the roof (for our home's previous owner), and explained how the roof warranty works (since our roof was less than five years old, we would likely have no charge for repairs from the original installer.) He was willing to hold the appointment spot for me while I tried to find the person who originally put on the roof, which I did, and he made the repair.

John could have easily taken the job, especially since he had an opening, but instead he helped educate me, which saved me a few hundred dollars, and let me know he was available if needed. When you're in a stressful situation, it is extra comforting to know that there are people out there who are actually interested in helping, like John. I will definitely call him if we need to work in the future!

We called Johnny yesterday afternoon to ask that he come to our house and give us an estimate on a roof repair job. He arrive promptly - within a couple hours- and after looking at the job gave us the good news that all that was really needed in the short term was a little caulk (which he applied) and keeping an eye on a small area with dry rot. He also gave our roof an overall review and told us of a couple things we could do ourselves to extend the life of the roof. All of that for no charge! When we do need a new roof we'll certainly be using Palo Alto Roofing.

I highly recommend Palo Alto Roofing Company. John Font put a new roof on my home many years ago and did an outstanding job. I recently called him for an estimate for a leakage. He responded promptly the same day. He quickly repaired the leakage issue and moreso did not charge me for the work done even though my warranty had expired. It is rewarding to have work done by a professional with a keen ability to identify the problem and resolve it adeptly. Do not hesitate to hire him for your roof work. You will be working with an expert who excels in attentive customer service. By the way, the roof he put on many years ago is of excellent quality. EDIT, 6/5/2017: A month ago Johnny wrote me and asked if he could do anything to change my mind. It's been such a long time that the repair I needed before wasn't necessary anymore, but my home needed the eaves cleaned and it's not an easy cleaning job. So I offered it to him.

The quote was a little on the high side but his team's work was absolutely top-notch, very high quality and well done. No dings on the eaves, nothing. Just perfectly clear gutters.

Johnny said they were moving offices and that accounts for the phone mixup.

Johnny and his team did a great job. I called during a break in the big storm and he was able to get his team out the next morning to repair my roof and clear my gutters and downspouts. He had a three-man team come first thing in the morning and they were finished by noon! Johnny has been wonderful to work with. The whole process has been very easy, fast, and most importantly he did a great job! Looking forward to using him and his team again.

Roof leaks can be straightforward as in, I see the blue sky from inside the home, or arguably worse yet, you may have a leak that is not consistent and difficult to trace. I had the latter happen to me and after speaking to Johnny on the phone, he said he could come out the next day to diagnose, even though he has been inundated with requests for repairs and estimates throughout the Bay Area.

Once Johnny came out, he quickly climbed up to take a survey of my roof, he noticed a vent lid half way off on the other side of the original problem area and quickly walked over and addressed that without having to say word. After reviewing the problem area I pointed out, he felt that simple roof caulking on several joints would prevent any further issues. After finishing up, he gave the assurance that his work is guaranteed and he will come out if I continue to have any issues in that area. Hearing this is re-assuring and my intuition is that Johnny is faithful to his word.

Regardless of my personal outcome(still to be determined), I can attest that Johnny carefully explains his analysis of the problem and potential solutions, and as important, he is a strong communicator who actually listens.
