Great company to work with! Greg was the one I worked with from quoting our roof to completion and did a great job with communication and making sure we were happy with the work done. We were in a rush to beat the rains and needed some help getting covered up, they got out there very quickly with a competitive price. I am an owner builder on the project so I know I am a little bit tougher when it come to the quality of work expected but Greg and the team were great. I would use again.

If you are a homeowner and in need of an honest and excellent General Contractor, then I highly suggest you call Palmer & Sons Construction. My first home, a two-story Mediterranean stucco home needed dry rot repairs around many of my window frames, patio and a side garage door over the course of 32 years. I found myself overwhelmed at the task and potential cost to accomplish this. After speaking with another Company and analyzing my issues they recommend I would be better served by a General Contractor, so I decided to call Palmer & Sons Construction. Greg gave me a call and came out for the initial inspection and quote for the dry rot repairs. Since my other goal was to paint the exterior of the home after the dry rot repairs, I asked him to include a separate quote for a high-quality paint job as well. Dave the owner came out next to verify everything that Greg and I discussed and the scope of the work that I wanted done. The rest is history, so I hired Palmer & Sons for the dry rot repairs and exterior painting. Since they are a full-service company and I mean it's all in the family by individual trades which are his sons. I ended up hiring them for electrical lighting, outlet repairs both inside and out that needed my attention. They reinforced my lattice patio built 20 years ago by my Dad which made my day. Once the repairs were completed to my satisfaction. They painted my home with a beautiful long term exterior color that will last for many years to come. A very special thanks to Greg on initial consultation, Greg and Josh on the dry rot repairs, John on the electrical and Dave Palmer for overseeing the entire project. You will not be disappointed on the craftsmanship, quality, and excellence in customer service.

Our home is 67 years old. We recently discovered a dry rot issue in a half-bath and laundry room near our garage.

I met with five different general contractors in the Sacramento area to address this and decided to hire Palmer & Sons to do the work. Dave Palmer's cost estimate was in the middle of the five estimates I received. His experience and strong work ethic caused me to hire him.

Dave and Sons arrived as agreed, removed the old flooring material, and replaced the subflooring in the areas affected by the dry rot. They also removed the leaky toilet and the old vanity and sink.

Next, the flooring company I hired installed their new flooring material.

Dave Palmer and workers then returned and installed a new baseboard, toilet, and vanity and completed the plumbing for new sink faucets.

Hiring Palmer & Sons is the BEST decision I made on this project! I have written several reviews of contractor issues over the years, but this is one of the best contractors I have worked with.

Dave, Greg, and team were really helpful through the whole process. They gave me an estimate for gutter cleaning, leaf guards, and repairing a lot of dry rot. They got me scheduled within a few weeks and the team was on time daily. Dave did regular check ins to keep an eye on the job. They did a great job and communicated with me the whole time, even just to let me know when they were leaving for the day.

Scheduled for roof estimate with Greg. After inspection of interior water damage he advised me he was going to expect the outside of the roof. He left without providing an estimate and didn't acknowledge he was leaving my premises! This is truly unprofessional and I would NOT recommend there services. If I could provide a negative rating it would be justified!

Dave and his crew did an awesome job remodeling our kitchen and installing tile floors in the kitchen and living room so happy with it. A big thank you to Ben for opening up the kitchen door frame it really looks much better. Dave has a great personality and is easy to work with. If you call him he will make time to come and deal with the problem. I highly recommend the company and his son he also helped with a little problem we had.

Recently in January a tree fell in my house and destroyed the original patio cover. I had several contractors estimate the job and most would not do all of the work needed to complete the repairs to the patio cover and roof damage to the house. I was recommended Palmer & Sons by an acquaintance who gave them my contact info. Greg immediately contacted me and provided a very reasonable estimate for ALL the work needed. They have completed the patio cover and the results are superb. It is exactly what I wanted and even better than the original with insulation and thoroughly flashed to the house, also superior to the original. Their craftsmen work diligently for several long days even in rain to get the cover completed. David oversaw the work and kept me informed on progress and made suggestions along the way to make the cover even better. I will use them again for any future projects.

My wife and I woke up one morning to find shingles had blown off our roof during a storm. Not being fond of climbing around on the roof, and knowing that we still had another week of storms on the way, I immediately reached out to a few companies to get estimates. Greg, from Palmer and Sons, was the first to respond, and was able to come out ASAP to review the damage.
Upon arriving, he immediately climbed up to check out the roof. He noticed the gutters were full, and took the time to clear them for us. He took a few pics of the damage, provided a few options, and made a reasonable suggestion to simply repair the damage vs replacing the entire roof at this point.
After making plans for them to repair the roof, Greg and his brother were even able to tarp the roof to protect it until they had time to do a full repair.

TLDR:
They did a great job, at a fair price, and communicated often and clearly during the entire process. 10/10
