We had a great experience using crest roofing. Jay was very professional, and with excellent communication, and nice finished results. They fixed one of our rafter tails which had some termite damage and replaced some mortar on our roof tile end cap. Would recommend strongly!

We learned the hard way that our relatively new roof upon buying our home was not done correctly. Specifically a drip edge was not installed. This meant the water had nowhere to go during our last few rainy seasons. Consequently the water sat on the felt and plywood eventually causing dry rot in the plywood and underlying shiplap. I noticed the dry rot and fungus and started contacting roofing companies.

The first contractor came out super fast and told us what was wrong and what needed to be done. I was told I'd have a quote by the end of the day. I didn't get the quote until a week and a half later. Upon receiving the quote I requested a date for service. I never heard back from the contractor again.

Then I contacted Jay at Pacific Crest Roofing. The communication was great. He was patient with my questions. He even came out personally a second time after the quote to further explain some questions I had!
He gave me a quote for a full re-roof and a separate quote for a repair job to give me options. Jay told me they were very busy and probably couldn't get to us until several weeks down the road. A few weeks later he contacted me. We set up a date.

The crew was hardworking and professional. They cleaned up every day. Our job took two days. The crew did not mess up our yard. They left it the way they found it. The finished job looks great and I'm confident if we have more rainy seasons that the water will now reach the gutters!

If you're looking for a company to repair your roof or completely replace it, I'd recommend Pacific Crest Roofing. We have particularly bad luck with contractors. Jay and his team were refreshing to do business with.

THE BEST.....LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! Professional, CLEAN, Considerate, Highly Professional, Best Job and Very Happy with the Price!!!! The Best Materials, NO Gimmicks, NO Add on pricing, it was all there, Complete. HIGHLY Recommend !! Went through about a dozen companies some of which refused to come out, verifying by satellite picture only. Had ALL NEW Fascia put on. Other companies would not quote me a price, had to wait and see etc. We needed ALL new fascia and we got the entire house done...No piece meal. 5 Skylights Installed, again, Perfect and all part of the contract. We didn't have to run down other contractors and get estimates, etc. THe MOST Comprehensive DId I mention Rain Gutters!!! Yes, had that completed as well. It was seamless, all done in a short time with no hassles. Beautiful job!!! It was like a show on HGTV, it was ALL DONE! Painters were the final touch to make everything perfect. We have used Jay & his crew two times now. Most recently after a tree in our front yard fell & hit our roof. I was concerned about upcoming rain & Jay came out quickly, assessed the situation & then scheduled & got the work done before it rained. Very grateful for him squeezing us in & getting our roof tiles replaced. They showed up on time, did a top notch job & left their work area clean so that you didn't know they were there. Even though the 2nd job was on the small size we were treated as an important customer. It is hard to find reliable contractors that also do quality work, are reasonably priced & don't make you feel like they are doing you a favor by showing up. Will certainly use them again & would highly recommend them.

We wanted to go solar but realized we needed a new roof too. We talked to solar people but the roof was an afterthought as was solar to roof people. We decided to start with the roof. We looked at samples at South Coast Shingle in Laguna Niguel and came away with ideas and referrals. We contacted Pacific Crest Roofing right away. Jay, the owner, returned our call promptly. When we mentioned that we were also interested in solar, he said that he has collaborated with Eddie, owner of Repower Orange, to do roof/solar projects. If interested, both would attend our initial meeting. We had several joint meetings. Each brought their professional expertise to the table. It was clear that they respected each other which gave them even greater credibility.

Our roof is a prominent feature of our house. Jay was able to translate our ideas into something that was practical, aesthetically pleasing and affordable and it turned out great! He has a crew that has been with him for years and it shows. The worksite was cleaned up daily and if we had questions, they were answered quickly.

Eddie designed a system of solar panels that would meet our needs but still be affordable. We considered many different solar brands but through Eddie's careful analysis, we decided on an array of panels from Canada. He also was able to create an energy loan that combined both the roof and solar costs into one package with one payment, which is less than what we were paying on average to SDGE.

We were very pleased with the entire process start to finish, which took less than a month. It was a coordinated project between two companies. Both owners displayed the highest level of integrity, answered all of our questions, and charged us a fair price. We couldn't be happier.

This review is long over due. I actually thought I had already done it. Jay and his guys roofed in a portion of the eave that was exposed to the elements, an unfortunate 70's style with open beam construction. After a little bit of rework to make the transition look smooth, it now looks the way it should have been built originally! I appreciate the extra effort they put in to make the project a success. Jay, and his team at Pacific Crest Roofing are as good as it gets! We noticed a roof leak during the last round of storms which threatened our newly remodeled interior walls and floors. I called a number of roofing contractors at the worst possible time and Jay was one of the only ones who responded. They came out within 24 hours of calling to inspect my leak and offer a solution. Jay's team secured plastic sheeting on our roof to prevent further damage, giving us time to evaluate a proper solution. Given that our roof was 37 years old, we elected to re-roof. Jay was always accessible in the time leading up to our scheduled start date and during the project itself. Jay's team did a great job! When heavy rain caused a leak inside our home, Jay came to assess the damage - the next day - on a Sunday - on Super Bowl Sunday. That's integrity, and prioritizing his clients. Once the roof tiles dried up and became safe to walk on, his crew came to work. As it turns out, it was debris piled up against a skylight creating an overflow. They cleaned it up and off they went.
Later that day, we asked Jay, how much do we owe you? He wouldn't charge us. This gentleman is honest, and we are having him fix the rotting eave and installing gutters. My husband and I are so glad to have met an honest contractor. Thank you Jay!
