They have horrible customer service. They gave me an estimate on a small job of replacing a couple of shingles, then never got back to me about doing the work. The lady in The office would never give me a straight answer on when they could fix my roof. She was impatient and always rushing me off the phone, which gave me the feeling that they weren't interested in the job. If I could give them minus stars, I would. They were a total waste of my time. Over a month later my roof still isn't fixed waiting on Oney roofing to fix it!

They provided me a prompt estimate which was reasonable and the work was completed within a few weeks. Outstanding! I talked to about 8 different roofers; some seemed very shady; others were very expensive. Only 3 really bothered to educate me on the various options for roofing -- there are many. It goes way beyond what kind of material you pick to roof with -- what are you going to put underneath, are you going to raise the tiles, how are you going to do the edges on the eaves and gables, etc.
Russ was very straightforward -- he told me what he recommended, along with the pros and cons of various options, and when it came to comparing apples to apples, his bid was not the lowest, but competitive. When I weighed the options of the various prices, materials, and perceived competence of the various roofers, Oney was on top.
They did what they said they were going to do in a professional, timely manner. You could tell they knew what they were doing. Their crew was also very courteous.
About three days after they re-roofed my garage, we had a heck of a storm that exposed a minor leak. They were out in 2 days to fix it, and I don't anticipate any further problems with it. My guess is that this new roof should last 30 years easily.

I had Oney roofing re-roof my home. They came out and gave me an honest estimate, provided me with options, and suggestions. I decided the best route was a new roof. They completed the tear off and removal, wood work/replacement, and re-roof quickly. I was impressed with their professionalism and cleanliness. The owners are often on site, assuring quality and safety. They were happy to answer any questions and address concerns. A few days, and I have a beautiful new roof, my attic is now vented properly to keep my house much more comfortable, and I have brand new gorgeous facia boards. My homes value has undoubtably gone up. All work comes with a great warranty and piece of mind. If you use Oney roofing, you will not be disappointed.

Things to know before getting a quote with these guys.

The good
- In Good BBB standing
- I've known people that have worked with them. They do the job

The Bad
- Do NOT call these guys out if you have a Medium or Small job. They wont do that if at all possible. They only want the large job$.

- Fibbed about severity of issues. Oney uses scare tactics to get you to replace your entire roof. I had other roofing companies check out their ""appraisal"" and they laughed. Only minor work needed.

- Oney didn't take any pictures to prove their wild claims of damage. However other companies did, and proved Oney was full of poo.

- Guy that comes out trash talks other businesses and points out ""bad work"" on neighbors roofs - Anytime a contractor spends a lot time slamming the competition I've found that it usually means they have no confidence in their own work. ALWAYS a red flag.

- ALWAYS get several quotes. Perhaps you'll find that ""You definitely need a new roof"" is probably not what others quote you.
