Clinton and his crew fix the roofs and replaced wood that was rotted. He was prompt, professional, clean, and pleasure to deal with. Keep your money local and hire Oates Roofing!!

Oats Roofing did an impeccable job from start to finish on our roof. They were the quickest roofing company to give us a quote and they were the most down to earth and accommodating. The clean up crew also left the site cleaner than before they started the job!

Before we hired Oats Roofing, we chose 3 companies with the highest number of positive Yelp ratings. One of those companies took around 4 weeks to gets us a quote and the other 2 companies took 1 - 2 weeks. The one company that gave us a quote in the most timely manner was unbelievably high in their quote. I was surprised, because that was the one company of the three that had the most positive reviews. It was something like 5k-8k higher than the others ( It sure does pay to get more than one quote!). At the time, roofing companies were very stretched due to the after effects of a recent heavy rain storm, so to be fair, roofing companies in the area were really busy.

We didn't feel overly excited about any of the 3 companies, so we decided to get one more quote from a different company before deciding.

I saw Oates Roofing on Yelp and I called them up. Tom was personable, respectful and not pushy. He had Clinton come out to the house within a couple of days and we got a quote the same day he came out.

The experience with Oats Roofing from the start was night and day from the other companies. It was an easy decision to choose them and our roof looks awesome.

Tom and Clinton are down to earth, professional and gracious. It is the kind of company we felt good about supporting. We had a lot of questions, and they were always accommodating. We are grateful to them as it was a stressful time for us, since our roof suffered a lot of damage from the recent storms.

We were so thrilled with the experience that we made sure to write a review on Yelp, but I don't see it here anymore. Regardless, it is worth writing about our experience again.

My Mother in Law had a severe leak in her family room on a Sunday morning. We called a plumber and he said he couldn't do anything and that we should call a roofer. We thought that it may have been due to recent gutter cleaning. I called Clinton at Oates Roofing and he came right over--crawled into the attic and found that a broken pipe was causing the problem. Clinton called a contractor that came right over and he in turn called a water damage company that came. This all happened on a Sunday afternoon. The water damage is so severe that the ceiling collapsed from the water. Without Clinton we would have been in serious trouble not knowing what to do. One thing for sure is that we didn't need a roofer yet, but when we do it will definitely be Oates Roofing.

I highly recommend Oates Roofing, they did an amazing job on my badly damaged roof. They were very reasonable and honest with the work and billing. They showed up when they agreed to and cleaned up everyday when they were done. Clinton and Soloman worked hard repairing all he wood rot from my solar system, and when it looked like it was going to rain they worked through the weekend to get the job done. I love the way my new roof looks!

We chose to go with them because they gave the best quote and we have friends that went with Oates and were very happy. Clinton and Soloman did a great job on our roof. I was doing a remodel when the roof started leaking on the new sheetrock. I needed a roofer and needed one fast it was one of the stormiest days of the year. I phoned Tom about 3:00 pm left a message, he got back to me within minutes, scheduled a roofer to come out within an hour. Tom and his courteous crew knew what it took to get the job done and did it right the first time. When I need a new roof I will not call anyone except Oates Roofing. They are the best of the best.

We hired Tom and his crew back in 2007. They did a fantastic job. We have some tricky intersecting roof lines and Tom took the time to explain how he was going to approach each one. We've recommended him to our neighbors and they've also been extremely pleased. Outstanding work and pricing!

What a great job they did. From beginning to end, professional and timely. Requested a quote and had one in hand in a couple of days. We set a start date and they were there as promised. They completed the job in 5 working days. Each day they thoroughly cleaned the areas around the house. When done there were no sign of materials or previous roof remnants anywhere. To top if off their price was thousands of dollars less than another quote. If you need a roof call Tom Oates and give them a chance. You won't be sorry. I am not sure how far outside the Fremont area they are willing to travel.

I wish I had taken BEFORE pictures. Previously bought the house with 3 old, patchy layers of roofing, and had some small leakage problems. I picked out the colours and Tom was able to get matching flashing/vents so that they blend in. Workers were exceptionally courteous, and knowledgeable. LOVE the way our new roof turned out. I would recommend for anyone looking to get roof work or replacement done! Amazing job.
