Do not use this company. You'll get a nice talk but you will not get your project done. Poor quality, and if ever anything goes wrong, they disappear. The owner talks a good game but he is a liar. He does not pay the contractors. he doesn't own any mistake. I could probably write a book on my project and all the flows that came with it, from water leaks, to electrical without grounding, and the fact that the project is still not done after 1 year and I have not heard back from the contractor in months. I guess I will never.

After 5 months, I must come back for a post-remodel review. I asked the contractor to finish a couple of things before they signed off, but they never came back. They also never delivered my flooring that I paid for.

Now I've noticed the flooring is separating from the baseboards. It's only been 5 months!

I understand they were very busy, after the February winter freeze, but I would have thought they'd finish up one job before moving on to another.

I've called & left messages, but no response. How disappointing!

It would be difficult to imagine a worse experience than working with Rafael and NTX Development services. (Except that Rafael is a nice guy. But other than that...)

(1) Incompetent. All work done badly.

(2) Untrustworthy. A plumbing company threatened to put a lien on my property because Rafael did not pay them.

(3) Slow. Rafael was never able to look a step ahead and have the next part of the project ready to roll. He took over 5 months of work time on the ""4-5 week ""project before I let him go.

(4) Bad with money! Rafael is King of the Change Order. When we were down to $3k left on money not spent he wanted to come in with an additional $17k in charges to finish the project. That amounted to a 50% overage in the budget.

(5) Disrespectful of property. Floors scratched by demo when materials were placed in bedroom (!) rather than taken through the outside door. Trash left to pile up.

(6) Irresponsible. Rafael was never willing to take responsibility for errors or damage, always blaming everyone else and not paying for damage his project caused.

Things started well, with a nice idea of how to use our bathroom space. But, Rafael never made a scale drawing. The result: at nearly every step there was a contractor who did something wrong (framing, plumbing), and we had to revise several key features of the bathroom because there ended up not being space for them.

Things that were not done right:

Demo. Is it possible to screw up demo? Yes. In fact, it was never even completed. Plumbers were having to pull down drywall to plumb shower lines. Also, despite another contractor having a huge disposal container out front, the demo crew left trash everywhere, including a tub on the back porch that only got moved four months after multiple requests and finally threats to fire him. Also, if you're doing full demo, why not level the floors?

Framing. This had to be redone so many times I lost count. Each time there was an, ""I told them,"" from Rafael. But without drawings and good notes the laborers just didn't know what to do.

Plumbing. Shower was put in the wrong place. Because bad communication. Sinks were plumbed incorrectly. Because no drawings, bad notes, etc.

Oh yeah, these are the guys Rafael didn't pay, leading to my receiving an intent to take out a lien on my property.

Drywall. I have never seen as sloppy work on drywall. Ever. There are goops, bald spots, uneven texturing. It looks horrible.

Tiling. Absolutely awful work on the floor and shower tile from someone who ""does great work!"" They did not correct problems. Tiles are literally pointing in the wrong direction on our floor. They did not have the appropriate tools for the shower tiles, so they ended up cutting outlets for the valves that left gash marks visible when the plumbing trim was added.

Oh yeah, somewhere in here the tile guys started working and leading to a flood below, causing over $2k in damage that Rafael refuses to take responsibility for.

Everything was done late, poorly, and over budget. I'm working on finishing the project myself. But save yourself headache and heartache when you're looking to redo your bathroom. Find a competent, reputable contractor. Somewhere else. But feel free to take Rafael out for a beer. He's a nice guy. Just expect to pick up the tab at the end!

Had a good experience with Rafael and NTX Development Services. They charge a fair price and stand by their work. I do recommend working with them.

We had a great overall experience working with NTX. Rafael and his team were very professional and did a wonderful job on our fireplace feature wall. They made sure to that each tile/stone cut was accurate and level, which made the overall finish out exactly as we wanted. We would highly recommend them!

We had a weekend emergency need to fix a hole in our ceiling from an accident getting Christmas decorations down. Raphael responded immediately to the request for an estimate, came out to see the damage on Monday morning and luckily, was able to get someone out Monday afternoon to start. By end of Monday, the hole was patched! Marvin came back Tuesday morning at the time we had agreed and and added the texture, paint, light fixture and smoke alarm for us. He took extra care to clean up every speck of paint before he left. It looks better than before the hole. We truly appreciated the time and commitment during a holiday period for an admittedly small job and felt well cared for. We will definitely be using Raphael and his team when we start our larger jobs!!!

Loved getting to work with Rafael as he helped with remodeling the bathroom and kitchen in our home. He was patient and helpful as we made our choices and decisions on numerous tiles, finishes and details. I was more than pleased with the results and I appreciated how he took the time to answer all our questions (as this was our first big remodel).

He was knowledgeable about everything and always made sure we understood what was happening. His crews were kind and polite and they obviously enjoyed what they do and working along side Rafael.

Will for sure recommend him to friends and family in the future.

NTX replaced my roof after a wind storm came through my neighborhood 7 months ago. I delayed addressing the repair for months because I had never been through this kind project before and I was overwhelmed. Rafael answered all of my questions, and made the process simple. My new roof and beautiful gutters were installed in just two days! I highly recommend NTX.
