I have gave this company plenty of time to fix a problem and their procrastinating ..They did do a good job at that time and we did have some bumps on the project. I should have known better I'm receiving bad Bad customer service after I've payed them thousands of dollars BEWARE!!!

I am shopping around and getting ESTIMATES for a covered patio. Their rep David showed up and was very thorough. However it became a nightmare when he kept pressuring me to sign a contract and said I could simply cancel after 3 days if I found a lower bid.

I had my brother on the phone since he's familiar with contracting law and it frustrated him. I told him I would decide later who I would use. He kept telling me to sign and reiterating about the 3 day cancellation

He finally got pissed and said he has been doing this for years and he knows I wont call back.

I can say this. After the high pressure sales pitch and disrespect he is right I would never do business with this company

When I visited the website, the ""About Novel Remodeling"" section made reference to the idea of how "" quality cannot be compromised"" and ""adding value work."" Well, it definitely didn't apply to how my property was left after I dished out over $28k. Much to my demise, when I saw the artificial turf being installed, I noticed a huge gap between the level it was placed and the level of the pavers. I should have put a halt on the work and DEMANDED that it be done correctly. I iterated that it should have been at the height of the pavers, but John Partiel and his partner insisted that this was fine and how it was supposed to be. Well, it's not fine. My front yard looks pathetic. The gap is atrocious and the pavers began shifting not too long after the work was completed. In addition, no protective covering was placed in between the ground and the wood chips, which caused a ton of a weed growth.

In late September of 2016, just shy of two years after the project's completion, I contacted Novel with my concerns over the loosening pavers on my walkway and driveway. My driveway was no longer level. They sent someone out to fix the pavers and it was obvious that they were instructed to patch up certain areas with complete disregard for the other areas where it would soon happen again. Not to mention that they didn't even work on the driveway. When I asked the gentleman when he was going to take care of the driveway, he said that he was only instructed to the walkway. I was in disbelief. My driveway was the main concern!

Another person also came to take pictures of the driveway (name not captured) prior to the walkway work. It was looking as if the work to be done was only going to be ""patch work"" again. It's now February of 2017 and I find myself with the same issues as before (the pavers sinking and causing uneven pavement) and I've reached out to Novel for a second time. It appears that they will just continue to send out people for small repairs, instead of doing quality work to begin with. It seems that every few months I'll need to call someone out for the same repairs. Very amateur work, indeed.

Even amateurs don't call on the appointment day and say ""Sorry, we couldn't reach you and our guy left the area. Would you like to re-schedule next week?"" I had already been kept waiting for 4 days for my backyard concrete project and nobody called me the appointment according to my Iphone! Then, I asked them to give me at least a rough estimation. He said he can't do that. Then why have you been holding me for 4 days?

our house is kinda old and not in the best state. people are saying that there's an earthquake coming up and what not. so we said that we have to do some foundation enforcement before it comes.we found novel online and they have some nice reviews so we said we'll give them a ring. long story short, they came in to give us a quote in 2 days time. they're weren't the only ones but they seem to be the most reliable ones with a license and all. long story short, I'm really happy from their work and I feel secure before the coming earthquake

Lior (project manager) and his team not only did an incredible job but they were very supportive, flexible, and accommodating with everything they did. The team created a beautiful patio cover for us. It came out terrific! It is very big. I was impressed with the fact that every time we called with a question or concern, we were taken care of immediately and with excellent customer service. Lior was always available to offer advice and assistance.



We will always choose Lior and Novel Remodeling for our home improvement projects and renovations. I look forward to the upcoming summer months to show off our new patio cover to friends and family during our parties and BBQs. Relaxing under our new patio cover is like being at a beach. Me and my family absolutely love it!

Needed termite inspection and assistance. Eric Harley from Novel Remodeling came out promptly. A very helpful, friendly parson. He was very thorough in assessing the problem and made some useful comments and ideas. I would recommend him for a heavy duty job. Mine will probably be handled by myself and a friend since it appears to be a small area of concern. I can't say enough that Eric was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If I were to do some heavy duty work, I'd be most happy to engage Eric and his company, Novel Remodeling, to handle the job.

Getting ready to remodel our backyard and looking for estimates. I don't know what century this company thinks we are in, but they would not meet with me without my husband present. What?!? Whoever called me, I found you incredibly disrespectful. As a woman, I am capable of making decisions with and without husband. My husband is busy on the weekends with his job so he can't meet then and because he trusts me, I've been able to handle all of our big indoor remodel projects. In the last year, dealing with different contractors, electricians, plumbers, etc, I have NEVER been second-guessed because my husband was not there. Welcome to 2016.

Sean, and the whole Novel Remodeling crew were absolutely amazing. We got three bids and Novel's pricing was extremely competitive. On top of that, Sean was very communicative throughout the entire process and always available to answer questions by phone and text. I never once felt like he was too busy working on other jobs or like I was anything but his most important customer. A contractor that cares so much about customer satisfaction is a rare and refreshing thing, especially when combined with the years of experience and high level of skill that Sean and his team bring to the table.

Our job required more wood replacement than anyone expected and Sean did his best to keep the cost down. The web is filled with horror stories of contractors taking people for a ride or unexpectedly adding cost after cost to get the total bill as high as possible. You will not need to worry about anything like that with Novel. I wholeheartedly give them my highest recommendation.

Our roof looks amazing and we can rest easy knowing that it was done properly and will last for many, many years. Thank you, Sean!
