The custimer service and professional roof installers exceeded my expectations. My new roof looks great. I am very happy with the whole experience. I had my roof replace by Northern California Roofing in 2012. I called them in May of 2014 when a tree limb fell on my roof, they came out the next day inspected the damage and repaired the roof the following day. I feel so glad I hired a company that values a customer. The crew even cleaned out my gutters. Great company!

Had a room addition put on 7 years ago. There was a slow leak, mold developed and a real mess. Our insurance AAA recommended NCRC to do the repairs. Andy the estimator came out and recognized the problem right away. Took pictures explained the problem and showed us how it could be fixed. Sent a timely estimate. Had the work scheduled and Ramon showed up on time and fully explained how he was going to fix the problem. He worked hard all day and was very helpful and asked a number of times if I had any question about the job. Cannot say enough about his work
ethic and service. I recommend NCRC after my dealings with NCRC. Thanks

I would like to start with we did not get any service. Like in baseball I have a three strike in your out policy.
Strike 1: Made an appointment for 5:00 P.M. on a Friday. The roofer wanted to come 3 hours earlier because was in the neighborhood but I had to work, so he cancelled the appointment and asked to come the next day.
Strike 2: Came an hour late to the appointment the next day
Strike 3: Is 4 days late to giving us a quote from the estimate
When it comes to contracting someone to do work on your home, how can I trust a company that has constantly proven that they cant stick to their obligation.
One pro, my husband did say the guys sounded knowledgeable.

I watched the whole job operation out of curiosity and concern, and noticed 3 blatant oversights/omissions during the 2 day project: valley flashing, 3 vent holes, and one air vent. On April 21, 2014 a roof job was started by a 3 man crew, 2 workers and a working foreman. While alone, one worker shingled the valley weave without any flashing installed, which was specified in the contract. I asked why and he said he would fix it. He then he added flashing to the remaining valley without fixing the part already done incorrectly. I told the foreman, and superintendent by phone, where they showed extreme concern, and the foreman had the worker redo the original portion of the valley with flashing. Then I noticed that 3 exhaust vent holes were sheathed over, which I had pointed out to the foreman earlier. The same worker then cut holes for the 3 exhaust vents, saying they were easy to miss while sheathing. I mentioned this to the foreman, where he showed less concern. The next day, after the superintendent told me there were to be 4 roof air vents installed, I only saw 3 vents and asked the foreman about the 4th one. He joked and had the other worker add the forth air vent. I mentioned this to the superintendent, also showing less concern, then kept extra vigilant for any more neglects, not considered worthy of being called mistakes. The superintendent did call and negotiate a discount at the end of the job in consideration for my supervision, which he said he would have caught those omissions if he wasn't off part of the time recovering from a medical procedure. That was quite revealing, meaning the company was admitting dereliction of their professional obligation.
The company touts being certified by the BBB, but the workers don't have the integrity to do the right thing when nobody's looking. Evidently I was the nobody, meaning the know nothing customer, and these were willful omissions to save time. The workmanship was good, but worker responsibility and supervision was lacking and wanting. Northern California Roofing Co. compensated me for providing supervision which was their responsibility. This helped my cost, but I couldn't overlook the incompetence without spreading the news to future unsuspecting customers. I expect this much irresponsibility from a non-licensed contractor, but not from this one with such a long list of credentials, especially the BBB.

The roof on our newly purchased house started to leak. Based on the other reviews, we decided to get a bid from NCRC. The estimator was very professional and provided a through explanation of what needed to be done. We eventually decided to go with this company for the repairs based upon his information and other yelp reviews.
The roofers were on-time and did the repairs within the estimated time frame and budget. As with the estimator, they were very professional as well! Our only complaint was that the roofers left without notifying us, which in the scheme of things isn't a big deal. We were sent a bill for the services.
Overall we have no regrets and would happily use NCRC again.

***EDIT: I just received a call from NCR Co.'s head of the Marketing Department, with a very thorough and sincere apology on behalf of the company for the miscommunication that led to my Yelp Review. She was very nice and understanding of the situation I dealt with. She told me the check had in fact been shredded and if there was anything they could do to make things better, their services were available. That made me feel a lot better. Like I said, it's the little things that matter to me and her concern obviously showed during the call. So for that reason, I am adding an extra star to my review. It's all in the customer service.***
I'm pretty disappointed in Northern California Roofing Co. mainly for poor sportsmanship. Allow me to explain...
I hired NCR Co. when we had our ceiling start to peel away because of a slow leak that had been building up over the years. They sent an estimator out who took pictures of the roof and told us the job would take 2 days and would cost $3,000+ and required a $300 deposit. Because we didn't want to chance the roof actually caving in (and onto our white carpeted living room), I wrote a check for the deposit and the estimator said he'd be able to start the job in a week.
Turns out we have a family friend who owns his own roofing company who ended up visiting out of the blue (we would have called him first but lost his number). Once he saw the damage, he said there was no way it would cost as much as NCR Co. had quoted us. He offered to take care of the job for us for FREE.
Common sense? Yeah, we went with our friend (who is fully licensed and reputable of course). I called NCR Co. right away to find out what the policy was on canceling the job with them and asked if the deposit was refundable. The person at the office said projects could be canceled within 3 days of the estimator coming to visit (I called just in time) and that the deposit was refundable. He checked his records and the estimator I had given my check to hadn't been to the office yet and the check hadn't been cashed.
I decided to do a stop payment on the check anyway (to be on the safe side) and the guy on the phone said the check would be returned to me.
That was last month and still no check, no phone call, no anything. I've been monitoring my account and the check still hasn't been cashed and when my dad called the estimator, we never heard back. They even mailed us a copy of the contract cancellation documents but no check. What kinda sense does that make?
Even though I did a stop payment, it's the principle. Who doesn't at least have the common courtesy to return the check or at least destroy it and let me know? I shouldn't have to track down the estimator about it. It's basic customer service.
It made me feel like they were mad at us for cancelling the contract and that we were no longer worth their time to even reach out to touch bases about the check. Oh, well, our roof is done and looks fantastic. Also, our friend ended up doing stuff that the folks from NCR Co. wouldn't have done based on the estimator's evaluation (which makes us now wonder exactly what does paying $3,000+ even get you?). He even found the exact same tiles to match and went the extra mile to make sure no slow leak would ever happen again.
I understand it sucks to lose business but that doesn't mean it's okay to act rude or just cut off contact when there's still loose ends to tie up.

I submitted an online request for a FREE repair estimate from Northern California Roofing. I was pleased to be contacted the following day and an appointment was made for the very next day. Later that evening I received a confirmation call from Tim, the roofer assigned to my appointment. When he realized it was just for an estimate and not actually a repair job, he inquired if I had other estimates. I acknowledged that I had made appointments with a few others companies. He then proceeded to tell me to go with one of the others. He ""was too busy to come out just for an estimate. Okay?"" End of call.
I did call the office that set up my appointment to let them know what happened. I did not request that someone come out since I will not be using this company after the poor customer service I received. They did apologize and a few hours later I received an email from this Tim giving me an estimate. (No apology for being a jerk though.) Also, I find it odd how he can quote a price when he never came out to see what needed to be done.
I cannot speak on the quality of their work, but I can say they need to train their roofers (or at least this particular one) on quality customer service. Way to lose a prospective customer who has a huge social and business network that I will most definitely share this incident with.

Our roof tiles fell and cracked on the side of our yard which became a safety concern since our children constantly play in the yard. We had a few estimates prior to Andy coming out. The other roofers did not even do a thorough inspection on the roof which we did not have a good feeling about. The other roofing co. threw us an estimate, which was within our budget, but we still did not feel comfortable with their approach. When Andy came out, he took his time, inspected the entire roof, took pictures for us to view, and gave us options towards repair cost and replacement cost. He made us feel comfortable with his professionalism and really listened to our concerns. With the explanation that Andy provided to us, we knew that the job would get done properly. They were scheduled to come repair our roof a few days later. Miguel and another gentleman arrived on time and did an outstanding job. They replaced the broken tiles on the roof and secured the rest of the side tiles throughout the entire roof. From booking the appointment for an estimate, to Andy coming out for the inspection and to Miguel and the other gentleman repairing our roof, we thank you all for your professionalism and outstanding job. We would definitely use Northern California Roofing Co for the future and would recommend them to others. Thank you all again!!

I made an appointment with Northern California Roofing to come to take a look at a roof leak I have. Well, no one showed up and no phone call cancel or to apologize either.

I had a good experience with this roofing company. They roofed my house in 2008 and did a great job. I had them back this week to sheath and roof a backyard patio with the same roofing material so it matched my house. They sent two roofers for the two day job. The workers were very professional and courteous. They clearly wanted to ensure I was happy with their work and explained things while they worked. I would recommend this company and would hire them again. My in laws had similar positive experiences with this company as well.
