i heartily recommend Dave for any cedar sidewall shingling job. He just finished reshingling my house, and everything he did was better quality than I had expected before I hired him. It's so good to find a real craftsman who cares about the job he is doing. It repeatedly amazed me to see the extra effort Dave would put in to so many parts of the job, like slowly and carefully salvaging the mouldings he had to remove so he could put them back, carefully caulked, looking as good as ever. He even cuts the bottom edges of shingles and squares them up before he even brings them to the job, just so the finished wall will look as good as possible.

Also, he's a very pleasant guy, always willing to tell a story, or show me some tool he loves, or teach me some tricks of the trade. I really enjoyed having him around. And he is always careful about cleaning up the work site every day before he leaves. Call him up for a bid before you hire anyone else.

Northbay Sidewall Co. Has done work for me numerous times on my home in the bay area and my vacation home and I have not been dissatisfied on anything he has done. He is an expertise on what he does and very particular. He cleans the job site after each day and leaves everything tidy and organized. I would rate him above 5 star's if I could.

As a general contractor, i want the best subcontractors available to me. When it comes to siding and in particular Cedar Sidewall shingling, i cannot recommend Northbay Sidewall Co. highly enough. Dave, the owner is an expert craftstman in his field. He's fair, honest and it doesn't hurt that he's an affable man, happy to explain details and answer questions you might have about your project.

He wont drop off a crew and disappear.. because he doesn't have a crew. He's an on-the-job contractor who solely works with other quality conscious contractors.
