Our company is family-operated home improvement company with 60 years of industry knowledge based in the Ocala area. We’ve selected the best manufacturers in the industry—along with top-tier solutions—that align with our rigorous expectations. Regarding SolarShield Metal Roofing, we took over the manufacturer to provide the absolute highest quality for our important customers. We’re licensed, insured, and happy to provide: Bathroom Renovations, Roofing, Window Installations, Siding Solutions.

Gerald McKinney, our founder has been active in home remodeling for a long time. Indeed, following the establishment of his first corporation back in the year 1964, he has remained committed! He still plays an integral part in our operations’ day-to-day functions, as well as in ensuring the continuous improvement of our products—from window replacements to bathroom renovations to roof installations.

My father, Gerald, founded National HomeCraft in the year 1964. Once I obtained my General Contractor License and Roofing Contractor License, I launched my own roofing firm called SolarShield. A few years ago, I became part of my father’s company, which allowed my dad to semi-retire while I oversaw the construction end of the business. My father still participates in guiding the business and offering advice from time to time.
