National HomeCraft is dedicated to metal roofs, siding, entry doors, replacement windows, bathtub renovations, and shower upgrades. We are a Veteran-owned and managed, we bring over 30 years of experience to the Central Florida area.

We are a family-owned remodeling business with 60 years of experience based in Ocala. We have chosen the top brands in the market—along with high-quality offerings—that align with our exceptionally high expectations. Regarding SolarShield Metal Roofing, we took over the company to ensure the finest standards for our valued customers. We’re certified, bonded and insured, and pleased to deliver: Bathroom Remodeling, Roofing, Windows, Siding Installations.

Our founder has been involved in home remodeling for a long time. Actually, after forming his first corporation back in the year 1964, he has continued forward! He remains an important role in our company’s daily functions, as well as in ensuring the constant development of our products—from window replacements to bathroom renovations to roof installations.

My father, Gerald McKinney, started National HomeCraft in the year 1964. After I received my General Contractors License and Roofing Contractors License, I launched my own roofing business called SolarShield Industries. A few years ago, I joined my dad's company, enabling my father to partially retire while I managed the construction side of operations. He still participates in overseeing the company and giving advice from occasionally.
