I gave a 5000.00 deposit for MYAFFORABLE ROOF on 11/19/2018. Dealt with three different sales rep. The first was Nora W. who took the deposit. The deposit was then given to my afforable roof. Nora was a very nice lady who did a breakdown on what would be needed. I was able to get in contact with her and she would call right back. About a month later I wasn't able to reach Nora, she finally called me and advised that she would no longer be working for the company. She told me to reach out to Rob W*****, I called him and was advised that he would come to my home. All this had to do with Hurriciane Florence and then Michael right after. Rob W***** then sent his cousin Rhonda S*********-P******** to get more money. Next thing I know neither one of them works for the company. I had to call the police to get a report started because I was going to the DA's office. Once the police came to my home they advised that the detectives would be reaching out to me in reference to the problem. Detective L*B***** reached out to me I gave him all the information involving all the contacts I had dealt with. He reached out to the roofing company called me back and told me that David B*** would be giving me a call. When I spoke to David he told me that there was 17 other people that the same thing had happen to and he would take care of my roof for me and it would be 22 to 45 days. David and I went back and forth because I wasn't getting any information and the roof wasn't done so I was constantly stating that if I didn't hear anything I would reach out to the DA's office. David got upset with me and stated he didn't like to be threaten and he was doing me a favor. He stated that he was out of Florida. I advised that his website also listed Wilmington NC as one of their location. He then told me Burger King has franchises and that this is what it is. I then stated yes that might be true but Amanda V**** is also the head of the company and the person that everyone is saying that they have to reach out to. I also must state that I had already picked the color for my roof and wasn't able to get it because they didn't have it in stock. so finally 2 weeks before Hurriciane Dorian came. My Affordable Roofing sent Edward Roofing to do the job. At this time I just picked another color that I really didn't want but I didn't want to not have the work done and turn around and have to wait another year Also I must add that my roof and my next door neighbors roof was suppose to be done side by side her roof was done and two to three months later my roof still wasn't done. When they sent Edward Roofing it took 2 days and 2 hours because they didn't order enough of the roofing. I had other neighbors that needed their roof done and I advised that I wouldn't go with My Affordable Roofing because of everything I went through no one has been out to see the work on the roof yet. Since David sent these other Guys I haven't been able to reach him. And I must also say that going through what was submitted on the insurance claim all doesn't seem to have been done

We gave My Affordable Roof a deposit at the end of January of $4500 to do our roof, and we were told it would take 3-4 weeks. Since we had solar panels on our roof, we had to have them taken off which we did in February. Since then, we have lost $200 per month because we are paying for the panels but not saving any money on our electric bill. That is $1200 so far. When we did not get our roof done in a timely fashion, we tried to reach out to them but did not get a response until July when we were told there were still 200 houses ahead of us. We researched and found out that in Florida it is the law that if you give a roofing contractor a deposit, the work must be completed within 90 days. When we signed the contract, we had checked the company's reviews and they were very good. In July, we re-checked their reviews and realized that they are making a lot of people very unhappy. It is obvious that they signed up as much work as they could get, taking deposits, lying about how long it would take, and then stringing people along. Since they have the deposit, it is difficult to then get another company to do the roof. In August, the company realized that a lot of people were catching on that they should have the job completed in 90 days, so they sent a form to sign to extend the contract with a measly $50 bonus for signing. However, at that point, we sent a certified return receipt letter to cancel our contract. We gave them 2 weeks to return our money. Since they are in violation of the contract, we are entitled to a complete refund. Our contract says that if we cancel them, they get to keep $1000, but since they are in violation of their contract, they are in default and that clause of the contract does not apply. We sent that letter a month ago. They have not returned any of our deposit. The day the owner got our letter, he called to let us know they could do our roof right away, and he claimed he had not received our letter. We replied that we had already cancelled his contract. Then, his marketing agent, Josh, who is his brother-in-law called the next week to schedule our roof to get it started in the next couple of days. Since we read so many negative reviews about people who had their roofs partially done and then left for prolonged periods, we declined his offer and said that we still wanted to cancel our contract. Then, we got another call from the office asking us to reconsider and we said no. However, we still did not get our deposit back. In the meantime, we checked online and they do have an active FL license, and we sent a complaint to the licensing board that they had not fulfilled the contract and would not refund our money. For their corporation, suspiciously, none of the owners are listed and the registered agent lives in a very run down trailer park, and that change was made in April. That is weird considering this is supposed to be a $40 million company. We just checked the BBB, and they are no longer accredited. At this point, we will have to file a lawsuit against them to get our money. I think a class action lawsuit would be justified. When we signed our contract, they had 7 offices in FL, and now they have 11. They also now have offices in KY, AL, CT, IN, GA, and NC. They have expanded rapidly by taking everyone's deposits. Considering they still had 200 roofs ahead of us (close to $1 mill in deposits), that is a lot of money. We were told they are a Christian company, and this is not Christian behavior.

    Beware of this comoany !
Contract done back in Feb. and job should had been done before Hurrican season within 1-2 months !
Guess what.. Pernitd done by firsr week of.. MAY . then it took them another TWO months to come, under alot of texting and talking to then to take off the old roof... of course they came late at daytime and finished taking off roof very late at night.. left property in amess.. nails all over.. material ect.
Then they stated having problems with getting metal material from their supplier...and told us its backed up... yeah sure.. for a job contracted back in feb they are now having supplier difficulties... now 6 months after ! So again.. It took them 3 months to get a simple permit.. and 5 months to take off the old roof..leaving property in a mess... and I dont have to meantion.. their crew did a messy job.. since we do have now a couple of leaks... and still waiting for them to come to fix the leaks and finishing their job, but putting metal on the roof. Excuses over excuses... by blaming their suppliers... well we dont care.. if yyour supplier doesnt have the material... get another one... should I tell you how business goes ?
We will now invole our lawyers about not fullfilling the contract and for damages. Its enough.

Stay away from My Affordable Roof. They prey on those people in disaster areas, come in with a low ball bid and sub out the job to unskilled workers in the area. Inferior workmanship and poor communication. Then they come back with an excuse (in our case wrong roof measurement after measuring 5 times) and ask for more money above the contract price. When we refused, they abandoned the job leaving us with a leaky roof.

We were looking for estimates for our roof, called several companies and I felt like I was getting the run around!! Called My affordable roofing -Orlando, within the hour they came to my house and provided an estimate! We liked the professionalism in all the steps of getting our roof repaired. From the initial contact, to the day the roof was installed. They had several workers doing different jobs on the roof and it was done very quickly!!! I will reccomend them to all my friends & family! Thanks for making this job stress free for us!!

Estimator named Paul came out and went on and on about how accurate they were in taking every detail into account. ""I have over 20 years doing this"". Gave us a complete estimate which was similar to other companies. He called and asked for the insurance paperwork to ""make sure the insurance company had done a complete job on their side estimating"". My wife liked how comprehensive he seemed to be and was going to call and give them the job. The guy calls back a few days later and said ""my boss said we can't do it for the price I quoted you"" and jacked the price up by thousands of dollars. Not sure why these guys are so highly rated. Not my type of company. I own a small service company and would never do this to one of my clients.
