We got off to a bumpy start with MVP builders as getting the correct quote was difficult and we dealt with several people before meeting with Joseph who helped translate what we were trying to do in the backyard, as well as providing solid input and ideas.

Once we negotiated the details they were able to start and complete ahead of time.

I sought proposals from a few companies to redo my condo - new kitchen, new hardwood floors, bathroom remodel, etc. I met several times with Joseph and found him to be great - creative, personable. responsive, helpful, competitive pricing, etc. I ended up going with a design-build company, so I did not actually work with MVP, so I cannot comment on their actual work. However, I would not hesitate to contact Joseph for a bid in the future if another remodeling project comes along.

After my previous review, Mark the general manager reached out to me to see how the company could make it right. He came out and viewed the bathroom, and while he pointed out that we had asked for the rough installation of the materials, he did agree that the quality of the installation was unacceptable, so the crew was scheduled to be brought back in to fix the paneling and trim.

When we hired MVP for the project, we had asked them to replace the galvanized water supply pipes with copper, just the verticals inside the walls, since we would be repiping the whole rest of the house at a later date. A couple months later, we hired a plumber to repipe the whole house, and he informed us that the galvanized in the bathroom had not been replaced by MVP. I don't know where the miscommunication happened, but we were never informed by MVP's project manager that there was an issue and the pipes would not be replaced. Since MVP had not fulfilled that part of our order, we were issued a partial refund. Mike, the owner, was very apologetic and emphasized that this is not how they do business. I appreciate the sentiment and hope they can work on their communication between foreman, project manager, and client in the future.

Once our plumber did the repiping, the paneling and trim was reinstalled by MVP. It looks so much neater now and we are happy with the result.

We had interviewed nearly 6 companies over the phone and at least five in-person before we landed on Mike with MVP Builders for our garage-to-ADU conversion. Though the estimate was on the higher end of our quotes, we decided that we may get what we pay for, and we were right. We went with Mike because of the detail he went through in the several areas of possible red flags and considerations for our specific property that other contractors missed. It proved to us that he was knowledgeable and wasn't going to sugar coat things, even from the start. He was punctual and professional, and not salesy or pushy or overly casual like the other contractors we interviewed.
THANK GOODNESS we chose someone whose personality and professionalism were top notch. Mike was through and honest and responsive man, consistently giving us thorough yet simple explanations throughout a sometimes complicated process. Even when some small mistakes were made, which anyone would make, there was never any drama or excuses. He would assess the situation then eat the cost and get the job done right and swiftly. The workmanship from his subcontractors were solid and high quality. Our foreman was also professional and reliable. At the end, Mike charged us exactly what he quoted us (plus a couple extra features we opted into midway).
