We are so impresssed and pleased with the job that Murakami Roofing did for us. Their cusomer service and professionalism are outstanding - from the folks in he office (yay, Capri!), to the estimator (you are great, Greg!) to the awesome guys that did the roofing (heros who persevered even in horrible conditions) - everone was great. So our skylight starting a slow drip that no one would've noticed if I had not been sitting almost directly underneath it. It was about 1-2 hours after all that heavy rain we had so totally unexpected - a slow but steady drip drip drip. Murakami Roofing had done an excellent job many years ago but we took a chance and called.
The office lady was so kind and helpful, explaining that the warranty was long expired. We hadn't even thought about a warranty so weren't disappointed and still asked if they could come. Sure thing and an appointment was made for the Friday.
On Thursday someone calls and says they're in Aiea and could swing by. I'm delighted!
Guess what happened? They fixed it!!!!! I don't know what superlative to use but consider them all used right here right now! They serviced a very old customer in timely and efficient fashion, even as the relationship had effectively expired.
Well done and I'll be sure to recommend you to all and everyone.

Worked with Greg the entire time! I live in Washington and my parents roof decided to leak. Called around and Greg not only gave me the best quote, but the only one who responded in a timely fashion. Greg and the team went out, repaired the roof and coordinated a PV panel team to remove and replace the PV panels. Not only would I recommend this business, I plan to use Murakami for all my parents roofing needs! Thank you Greg and Murakami Team!

Unsure where a leak was coming from I phoned Murakami Roofing who did the original job to investigate. They sent someone right away as a crew was working in the same neighborhood and I was advised it was coming from a loft window. Employee ""J"" surprised me when he advised he would return the next day and fix it at no charge as I was still under warranty (barely). He did a great job. As I was going through MR website I found that they now install hurricane clips. Asked for an estimate which was reasonable and within a week had that completed as well (they had finished earlier on another job). My single wall 1970's home with open beams used to creak in high winds but it is solid now - not a sound. Great 3 person crew and wonderful office employee ""R"" who arranged everything .

Told the estimator I wanted the 1x3 board ( some termite damage) under the drip edge replaced which was specifically written in the estimate. Should've watched the demo work. Next day went to check and roof was down but 1x3 board not replaced. I was reimbursed some money for that work not done. Also, formed a 2"" lead flashing around a 1 1/2"" vent pipe. Poor workmanship. Wish contractors would do work as if it was their own house.

I haven't had issues with the work that was done but beware that warranties on their work is not transferable if the home is sold. Just food for thought if you are considering using this company and planning on selling the property that work is being done on. Also, when I inquired about the warranty it took over a week to get a response (I called and emailed). I've uploaded a picture of the correspondence.

One word....Terrific! From getting an honest estimate to completion of the job, Murakami Roofing is definitely top notch. Clinton came out and inspected areas that were leaking and giving us problems. He looked over our whole roof and told us he wouldn't change the whole roof because it still is in good shape. He looked at our troubled areas and gave us an an honest and fair estimate within a couple of days. After agreeing to the contract, he and his crew came the very next day to work on our roof. As they worked, his crew was polite, efficient, and professional. I had a small leak in our master bedroom roof that 3 different roofers could not find. Clinton climbed into our hot attic (how he does that after 30 years of roofing is beyond me) and tried his best to pinpoint where the water was coming in from. As with 3 other roofers, he couldn't see any leak from inside the attic. However, instead of just leaving it at that, he was determined to try and find out where the leak was and went back up to the roof to see. Lo & behold, he found it! Other people told me they couldn't see anything so it's probably nothing (even if there had to be some kind of leak because there were stains and cracks on the ceiling). You gotta love someone who really treats his customer's roof as if it were his own roof. They had to replace wood rot beams, fix a few leaks that were causing other damage, re roll the flat roof on my outdoor & indoor patio, and few other things. It's pretty amazing that from our agreement on the contract to the job being complete took less than 4 days. Also gotta love the fact that they stand behind their product with reassurances that they'd come back if I found any problems with their work (which I highly doubt I will). Price was actually cheaper than a competitor and they (Murakami Roofing) did a lot more work. Professional, efficient, and the best customer service. If you need roofing services here on Oahu, you'd be crazy not to use Murakami Roofing. Choosing them will be the best decision you'll ever make when it comes to roofing.
