MTD Services did an amazing job on our home. A salesman came out, he was very professional. I had my estimate in just a few days. We ended up contacting them to do our kitchen, and bathroom. They did a wonderful job, on time, and on budget. I will definitely be using their services again.

My wife and I had a shower pan that leaked causing some structural damage to the floor joists and subfloor. I didn't realize that was the cause until I had called my insurance company and the inspector pointed out the issue. They said it was a maintenance issue and not only was it not covered if I didn't get it fixed my insurance was not going to be renewed.
Needing to pull out all the old tile and subfloor we decided we may as well remodel the whole bathroom.
I had called a few contractors I had found online and but out of the several I called only 1 ever showed up to the appointment and he apparently didn't want the job because the cost was ridiculous.
I asked a few friends for recommendations and MTD was recommended as they had completed a really nice kitchen remodel. I gave them a call and had the owner, Todd, at my house the next day.
Todd was great at understanding exactly what we wanted. We had a quote emailed to us that evening which was under budget along with a timeline. He was sure the job could be completed within the time frame that the insurance company required it.
All permits were gotten from the City of Forest Acres and after a week of picking our materials work started.
All the contractors were very professional and they also knew one another and how they did their job which smoothed the workflow and made everything more efficient. I'm pretty sure that MTD only uses contractors that ""play nice"" together, which make a lot of sense.
The times we had questions (and a few changes) we always got a response within 30 minutes. There was never any drama. Todd has excellent communication skills.
The work was finished within the required time and the insurance company renewed our insurance. Huge stress relief!
The end result was a great looking, completely updated master bathroom that I couldn't be happier with. The entire process from start to finish was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

Our renovation has been a nightmare! Todd is not only unprofessional, but has ZERO organizational skills and will give nothing but excuses as to why your project will not be done on time, incorrectly and with shotty work. We have to continually hunt him down to get workers to actually show up at our house. He had no problem tearing our house up and making sure he collected paychecks on time but once we had most of the contract paid for, his crew stopped showing up. I had to repeatedly explain to the subcontractors that he send what was supposed to get done because, once the contract is signed, you will never see a project manager at your house again. He even had the nerve to blame us for not being available because WE WERE AT WORK for the reason his workers couldn't finish or seem to get it right even though I work 10 minutes from home and REPEATEDLY offered to come home if they had questions. At one point I even posted pictures and post it notes all over the walls just to make sure the workers knew what it was SUPPOSED to look like to which they ripped down and still managed to screw up. He badmouths his employees and his subcontractors repeatedly complained that they weren't showing up because he had not paid them for work they had done yet he had all our money for the job! It is now 7 MONTHS later and the job is STILL not finished and probably never will be. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Oh and he is NOT licensed or bonded in SC despite what he advertises.
