When I thought I needed a new roof a friend referred Moss Roofing. It just took one call and they made my life so much easier. They walked me through the steps, contacted my insurance company and it was done. They did a great job in one day. Roof look amazing. Would recommend Moss Roofing highly.

Called Moss Roofing to get my roof fixed due to hail damage. James stopped by and inspected the roof, and was helpful and informative in contacting insurance to initiate the claim. He also came by when the inspector came out to point out the issues he had seen. This was great service, and I appreciated that.

Install day came, and they started working on the roof at 6AM in the morning (even though we were told work would not begin until 7 or 8). Obviously this woke everyone in the house up. The project manager came by about halfway through the job, and was there for only for about an hour and then left and was never seen again. This made communication very difficult. At the end of the day, the work crew left a lot of trash everywhere including a lot of nails on my driveway. But the roof looked fine overall.

The reason for the 3 stars were a few issues, aside from what was written above:
1. They damaged and dented my gutters. James called a handyman to try and get it fixed, but they only made it worse because that was not their expertise.
2. They had installed one of the roof stacks incorrectly, and I had to call to get it corrected.
3. We had agreed to a certain price, and they backtracked on that a bit when it came time for payment. It wasn't much, but obviously was disappointing to deal with.

Overall, there were some ups and some downs with the experience.

DO NOT HIRE THEM. They caused damage to my roof and have refused to fix it. They sent a B-crew to do the work and not a single person spoke English so there was no way to talk to them other than to use Google Translate. The salesman Brian told the crew not to remove gutters, which meant that they did not remove the old drip edge. The new drip edge was just laid on top of the old one and notched to fit around the screws holding the gutters! Roofing nails got stuck behind the gutters, and they pushed the nails through which damaged the fascia boards. They missed installing shingles underneath the gable. They did not put 5 nails on each square, sometimes only 4 or 5 nails. They messed up installing two vents and had to reinstall them, without removing the shingles that had been put down. The damage to the fascia boards is more than $1000. I saw the damage when the gutter company came by 2 days later to install new gutters, and salesman Brian told me it was my fault that I did catch all these issues at the time of service !!!! He offered me $200 if I will leave a 5-star review on Google; which means that some of the reviews on their google site are not truthful. The general manager refused to talk to me about the damage caused by his crew. I can guarantee you that these guys will not uphold any labor warranty.

I definitely recommend Moss Roofing for all your roof inspection and roof installation needs. Our entire roof replacement project was perfect from the initial inspection to the roof installation, and now the new roof looks amazing. This company and its employees take customer service to a new level of excellence by cultivating a good working relationship that will exist beyond the installation of the roof.

Jim Phelps, our Moss Roofing Consultant, did the initial roof inspection for hailstorm damage. Then, he advocated for us on our insurance claim, working on our behalf and in person during the insurance company's inspection, to get the claim filed super-fast. And just like that, we had our installation date set up for a few weeks later.

Jim was so helpful and knowledgeable every step of the way. He went above and beyond to answer my detailed questions and to address any concerns I had. He stopped by the house more than once to show us shingle samples, show us what algae does to roofs and explain different parts of the installation process.

On installation day, the Moss Roofing crew started at 6 am to prep our windows and yard with protective materials and seamlessly worked until dark to install an impeccable new roof. They cleaned up everything perfectly, including using a magnet sweeper on our yard and our neighbor's yard to dispose of hidden nails. Jim came back the next day to check the attic and do a thorough walkthrough of the premises to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. If you are even thinking about replacing your roof in the near future, call Moss Roofing. You'll be glad you did.

For our hailed damaged roof problem, we talked to five different roofing repair companies in the greater Houston area. Jim Phelps (no relation to Michael Phelps !) is by far, the most knowledgeable roofer of them all. He explained to us in details why a homeowner should go with a more reputable company such as Moss Roofing Repair company that uses certified shingles from ""CertainTeed"" Corporation, with 20 years of warranty, instead of one of so many, on-the-fly, selling shingles from back of their trucks, operations. When another inevitable storm, hail, hurricane occurs, and homeowner needs roofing services, those mom and pop, here today - gone tomorrow outfits would not answer their phones ! Jim Phelps was very accommodating with our tight schedule and went out of his way to give us the service we had requested from him. We wholeheartedly recommend Jim Phelps with Moss Roofing Houston company.

Own a home long enough, and at some point a new roof will be required. Damage from the most recent hail introduced us to Moss Roofing!
Most people dread dealing with insurance companies & with Moss, you don't have to! From the time Troy, our sales rep, performed our initial inspection to meeting with the insurance adjuster, Moss Roofing made this experience a breeze.
They are extremely easy to coordinate schedules with, punctual and professional crews, as well as cognizant of your lil furry friends! They repeatedly cleaned our yard to prevent any stray nails from popping up!
Our entire experience was completely explained to us, and the quality of materials is superior to the builder grade quality initially installed. All of our roof vents were improved as well as a solar attic vent to help keep our house cool! The owner, Wiley, is hands on as well and oversaw our job the whole time. We 100% recommend using Moss Roofing! Great experience from start to finish!

High marks for owner Wiley Moss' customer service. Super nice guy. He answered my call and promptly set me up for a free estimate. He arrived early at our designated time and then took his time to listen to my concerns and evaluate my roofing problem. He sent me a very reasonable quote within 24 hours of his visit. Very responsive and works alongside his crew on roofing jobs.

What I appreciate most is how he went above and beyond my quote request. He worked with me to come up with various options to address my roofing problem. He also spoke to an insurance adjuster friend of his to give me advice. I feel most roofers would have taken advantage of my situation to price gauge me, but he didn't. He was honest, a trait that seems rare nowadays.
