I hired Monge for mitigation after a tornado hit our neighborhood, but it turned out to be a big mistake. They weren't local, which I didn't realize until it was too late, and they promised to cover my deductible, which is a major red flag I was unaware of at the time. Throughout the process, they took advantage of me as a customer and disrespected my intelligence. They even threatened to place a lien on my property. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend them.

As a spouse of an Active Duty Military member, I urge you please do not use these people!

We called them to set up an estimate. They came out of Friday 03/22, before they came out - we told them that we are getting estimates for an attorney and that this was not an insurance claim and there was a lot of damage and that it was more than likely a total loss. They were completely fine and sent out someone to do the Estimate. When Anthony showed up, my friend asked him for a business card and he told him he didn't have one which was weird but, he moved on and started looking at things that needed to go into the estimate, Anthony was here for an hour taking measurements and taking photos, before he left, I again asked him if he had a business card and he produced one for me. After he has left about an hour later the front office girl contacted me and asked how the estimate went and my friend told her it was good and talked to her about what Anthony told him and she invited us to come down to check out the showroom and if you know my friend, he absolutely despises going to Baton Rouge, but he went to check them out even though they are in Baton Rouge because he was really happy with the way he was treated by MONGE, even if the house is a total loss he was going to hire them after he got the settlement money for the house, the lady on the phone told him that he should have the estimate within a week, he was waiting for the estimate email and he still had not received the estimate email and he asked me to reach out to see what was going on, so I did and when I called on Friday 4/4 she told me that they are still working on the estimate and it should be in his email by Monday 4/7, it still was not in his email by Monday 4/7, so I tried to call back on 4/8 and lo and behold, my number was blocked and I know when someone blocks your number, and I thought that was weird, but I have another phone so I called her from my number and asked her what was going on with the estimate, she told me that they were still working on the estimate, I asked her when it would be done, she told me it would be done by end of business and it would be in his email. It was not done or emailed by end of business on 4/9, so I called back on 4/10 and guess what? My other phone number was blocked this time too, so I *67d my number and got through and asked to speak to the owner of the business, I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and then she calls back and says that he will call me back within 10 minutes, he didn't call me back that day or any other day for that matter. On Thursday 4/11, I called to see what was going on and she basically tells me that they are not going to do the estimate because there is ""too much damage and they won't get a contract out of it"" like I said we was upfront with them when we requested the estimate and they still jerked us around. I would steer VERY far away.
