Shane and the team at Monarch Roofing recently re-did my roof. Pre-installation, Shane was very helpful in assessing the existing roof, providing photos, walking through my options, and helping select the appropriate roof. He was patient and understanding, even bringing by a shingle book for my wife and I to review on a Saturday. The installation was a great experience - the crew showed up on time, worked non-stop through a Houston summer hot Thursday and Friday, sent photos once complete, and left the job site clean and free of nails or debris. The roof also comes with a warranty. The pricing was fair and transparent. Would recommend to friends and family!

I first met Shane about five years ago to get a bid on a new roof when another contractor told me that it was critical that I get a new roof now. Shane got up on my roof personally and informed me that I still had a few areas on the roof that needed repair, but it was still in good shape and had could wait a few years to replace the entire roof. That was good news as it allowed me to plan for the expense of the new roof in the future. When the time came to replace the roof, Shane and his team did an awesome job. They were very professional and took great care with moving my patio furniture and plants to complete their work. I highly recommend Monarch Roofing!

This company will write a so-so 'contract' and then change orders over and over again until you've spent twice as much as discussed. They do not provide the change orders in writing!! We learned the hard way. We have had to spend $6000 to repair the roof installed 2 years ago by this company. The roof that was supposed to cost $8500....came in at about $19,000 and has so many problems that the insurance company wouldn't renew our homeowners policy. The owner Shane Schlemeyer is just a broker and a smooth talker, but don't be fooled. He is not a roofer. He doesn't even go on the roof. He just hires subs. Can I leave MINUS 5 STARS?

When we bought the home, it actually had two layers of roofing. Not good. Fortunately we found Monarch Roofing. I don't believe they were the cheapest bid but my husband and I felt very comfortable working with Shane and the products he offered. Fast forward nearly six years after install, Shane personally came to do a roof check, ensuring all was in order at no cost! Talk about standing by your work and product. Dependable. Competent. Honest. Thanks Monarch Roofing.

Business must be good - I called for a free estimate and was denied. The owner was unhelpful, unsympathetic to my roofing repair needs and offered no help whatsoever. The best word I can use to sum up my experience with Monarch is ""shocking"".

Just got off the phone with Monarch... what a disappointment. Like most individuals, we shop around for quotes in order to get a baseline on pricing. I was told by the foreman, they normally bring a service crew with them upon inspection and complete the work in a ""same day sort of service fashion"". This is completely fine, provided I've settled on this contractor for services. However, when I explained to the gentleman he was more than welcome to bring his crew along, but I still intended on getting quotes from other companies, they were unwilling to show up unless the work was guaranteed to them. It seems unreasonable to commit to any contractor sight unseen, price unknown. That doesn't make good financial sense.

Absolutely impeccable! Our experience with the Monarch team was beyond reproach and we had issues during the work, a sudden storm came through right after the decking over our kitchen came off. While they tried to tarp quickly, when I showed our rep that rain still came through the first thing he said was, ""We will take care of this"" and they did, no questions. Not only did they take care of all of the drywall issues they introduced us to some really incredible drywall and paint professionals. Truly impressed and would recommend them without hesitation over and over!

We went through Monarch roofing to have our roof and 3rd story balcony fixed. They subcontracted our work out to someone else. Extremely poor communication the entire time. They fixed the roof, and charged us for it but did not fix ALL of the issues on the roof. They fixed ""something"" and charged us $600.00 but when we looked in the attic where the issue was, nothing was fixed. They never once sent us a picture after we asked multiple times. They never came back to complete the repair on our balcony. We have called over 5 different times in a span of multiple weeks and have never been able to get someone to come back out. When we finally got someone to reply and say they would come out (a month later) they quoted us $100 more than they originally said. AND NO ONE SHOWED UP.

Even though this repairman was sub contracted through monarch, We will be looking elsewhere for repairs and will not be recommending Monarch to anyone. And will be reporting them to BBB. This was too much of a hassle to go through. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
