Starting during a recession, when construction was at a historic low, brought numerous obstacles. These challenges taught us the value of hard work, and we are committed to maximizing every opportunity to provide our customers with high value, quality, and excellent service.
In recent years, we have been able to give back to our community. We have taken a 10% pledge, giving back and volunteering our time through initiatives such as ""Roof for Troops"" and Habitat for Humanity. Furthermore, we work alongside other charitable institutions in the region and are proud to actively participate in the community we value.
Martin, hailing from Quebec, graduated from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he was scouted to compete in NCAA Division 1 golf. However, following graduation, he opted to prioritize business ownership over his golfing ambitions, leading to the establishment of Monarch Roofing in 2007. Since then, he has worked hard to attain the most prestigious certifications in the roofing industry, with only a small fraction of contractors reaching this level. Martin also made history as the first roofing contractor to be appointed President of the Horry-Georgetown Home Builders Association. Today, Monarch Roofing is recognized for its quality craftsmanship, professionalism, affordability, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Martin believes that focusing on assisting property owners and providing them with the best roofing system that fits their budgets is essential because you deserve the best!

Awesome company !!! Nick was AWESOME !! Took control of my roof repair and made sure it was done sufficiently. The crew was hard working from start to finish. You can't even tell they were here. Color match of the shingles was right on. Props also to John. Thad and Caitlin. GREAT EXPERIENCE with the whole Company from start to finish. Thank you, Monarch. James W. / Longs SC
John G.Shaq is back with a great roofing team. Ask for him and his team at monarch roofing. Monarch are all good people but Shaq's team is the hammer and nails.
Awful company cares more about how they look on social media than actually caring for customers. Came to my house bashing another roofing company in demand that I take their offer. Clearly their sales men need more training defamation of another company isn't going to get me to buy a roof with you. Don't work with them unless you want to pay an extreme amount to cover all their overhead costs
In the aftermath of the recent hurricane my upstairs ceiling displayed signs of a roof leak, with water obviously making its way to the ceiling. On Friday morning I contacted Monarch Roofing for an appointment to get the roof looked at. Within hours I received a follow up text and email from employee Maeghen Ochse, scheduling me for an appointment the next morning, Saturday. The following morning Tre Capp, Monarch's New Construction Division Manager showed up and made an extensive inspection of the ceiling and roof, and diagnosed the problem. Within 45 minutes of Tre's arrival at my home, the roof and ceiling were thoroughly inspected, the problem diagnosed, and I had in hand an estimate for the repair of my roof. A shout out to Maeghen Ochse and Tre Capp, two outstanding consummate professionals who represent Monarch Roofing in the most positive light. I highly recommend Monarch Roofing to all.
good luck if they mess up. they will tell you all kinds of reasons why it is not covered. they done it to my house. now to a non profit. don't use them. they might be great when they do the job. but when you call them back to repair there screw up they make up shit.
These guys are amazing! contacted them about a leak from the roof and they immediately reached out to contact me and schedule an appointment. Super nice people to work with! Don't hesitate to call them!
If I could give less then a 1 star I would, Do yourself a favor and don't hire them. I contracted with Monarch Roofing to install a tile roof getting right to the point the work has failed 2 private inspections and the Town of Hilton Head inspection. They completely destroyed my driveway and dumped red mortar in the pool burning up the pump and stained the pool. They have been working on this property for 6 months only to install without complying with high wind regulations I have spent a week cleaning up food trash and beer bottles, After giving notice to Monarch to correct the work or be terminated our home was robbed in a very secure gated community that by chance Monarch was onsite.
Hopefully one person is helped by this review.
i have a 4 year old metal roof, installed by a contractor OTHER THAN monarch. improper underlayment was used, now, the adhesive is melting under the aluminum. contacted monarch the end of august. their rep (nice guy) came out, then again a week later, then with a 'metal specialist', mid september. appears the roof needs to be replaced.. since then, i've called a few times and been committed a quote (i've requested 2 quotes, full replace, and part now/part later) 'by thursday', each of those times, i have heard NOTHING back from monarch. i'm guessing, the cost would be somewhere in the $100k range. so, my thinking, either the job isn't 'big enough' for monarch OR, they don't want to, for whatever reason, undertake it. in either case, rather than leave me hanging, some sort of communication back to me would have been appreciated. this will be my last anything regarding monarch. at this point, i have no interest in hearing from and/or using them. what purpose i do have in life, i'm sure part of it is not to chase down contractors to give them work.
Chuck-Michalle O.Alex Sampson and his crew did a wonderful job roofing our condo in Kingston Plantation. These guys were friendly, efficient and did a great job of cleaning up.
We are very pleased with our experience with Monarch Roofing. We met with John Gurtler a few times at our home and at his office. He did an exceptional job helping us to secure the right roof for our home. John told us the steps that Monarch would follow to ensure that we had a positive experience. We met at his office and were happy to see visuals of our home and samples of products to be used on our roof. Last week Alex and his team came to our house and reroofed our home. They wrapped the outside of the house prior to beginning the project. Everything went flawlessly and at project end, Alex showed us pictures of our roof - from many angles - explaining where certain portions of the roof needed to be modified. Workers left the place in clean condition. We can't say enough good things about Monarch roofing and to John and Alex. Thank you, Monarch!
