In our opinion ModTek misrepresented themselves as a company that could install a metal roof and a 2-layer flat roof. In our opinion the sub-par workmanship over the entire roof in general was like nothing we've ever seen and hope never to see again. They required 85% of the contracted price right after dry-in and before starting installation of the new roof. Shame on us for doing that. We had a couple of leaks less than 2months after the final inspection... 4 trips back to the house to attempt repairs, the leaks remained active and they told us they'd charge us if we called them back to the house any more.There are lots of roofers in this town, avoid this one.

So I had concerns for mold in my attic and was researching what to do. I saw adding a solar fan to your attic can help keep mold away and save on my electric bill.

I called modtek for an estimate after an unanswered email was never responded to. Austin called me and apologized for the unanswered response. We spoke and negotiated a good fair price.

The weather hadn't cooperative for weeks but today it finally was a good day to put in a fan. I work overnights and asked Austin to make sure not to wake me up.

I woke up and texted Austin since I didn't hear anyone come if everything was done. He said yup. Went outside, and there was my solar fan on the roof and in the attic. So I was happy.

Overall satisfied so far of everything including workmanship and product.

Back on March 23, 2019 Modtek repaired a leak below our Stack pipe and did a complete inspect of the roof cement tiles repairing and sealing any areas which shows possible problems, also seal any cracked tiles. they furnish a 1 year warranty water-tightness warranty. They give a complete detail written proposal of all the repairs to be done. Upon the completion of the work their representative return to inspect that the Modtek workers properly did the repairs. I would recommend and call Modtek back for any future problems I might have with my roof.
