If I could give zero stars I would. He doesn't return calls, if there is a problem, he refuses to address it. He is the definition of a grown coward! His people, except for the shingle layer , left trash everywhere, nails in the driveway, materials from the roof fell on awening over pool and blows into pool when storms come. Avoid this man at all costs! He wants your money, but no responsibility.

I hired Larry Kelley from Modern Roofing to put a brand new roof on my single family home. This roof has leaked in different spots every time it rains since they completed the job. It is the worst experience I've EVER had with a contractor. When he has come out to see what's wrong- He lies and says it's fixed and it's not. Last night it poured and my roof leaked. I called him & he promised to show up this morning @ 8am and then doesn't even come, no call, no show. Now he doesn't answer any of my calls. He promised to rip up the roof and put a brand new one. LIES! He won't even answer the phone now. I've wasted time, money and precious energy attempting for him to make right on his company's shotty work. I am a single mother and feel completely taken advantage of. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire Modern Roofing. They are absolute Crooks!!!!!!!

We hired modern roofing to repair a portion of the roof in February 2022. They stated a price. Once they showed up, the price suddenly doubled. I paid the full amount. The problems began immediately when the workers turned the job into a party, a raucous party, hooting and hollering all over the place - six workers suddenly appeared from other jobs. Neighbors called and complained, they unintentionally turned off the water to the entire house. They neglected to replace the plywood under the tiles, never installed flashing, and made a mess. Within four months, it started leaking again from the same spot. When I called the owner of the company, he said he would repair the work they had done. He never showed up. modern roofing is a complete fraud. if you value your home or the work done on it, stay away from this company.

we signed a contract with Modern roofing to repair our garage overhang which was leaking. The team of workmen arrived. The cost of the overhang suddenly doubled. As the work was being done three additional workmen appeared and turned the enterprise into a virtual circus during which they accidentally disconnected the water. The job was completed. I paid the bill. Within four months the same area began leaking again. I called the owner. He said he would visit me to assess the problem. He never showed up. I called again. I called 3 companies and I chose Modern Roofing. They were the middle price. I'm really happy with my decision. They worked quickly and my roof is great. I've not experienced any problems and I had very good service with this company. You hear a lot of horror stories with roofers but Larry & his crew were great.

Hired this company to put a new roof on my house 5 years ago. Fast forward to a few weeks ago I noticed a small stain on my ceiling. I called up the company and spoke to one of the owners. I simply asked if they could come out and take a look, I was more than willing to pay if a repair was needed. I got the runaround for 3 weeks then they just stopped taking my calls. Terrible after sale service I would not recommend this company to anyone. Leaks on a 5-year-old roof and no call back are very disappointing.

Horrible company. Put on new roof. Had leak after and they never came back to fix. They said they would and never showed up. Then stopped answering calls, text and emails. Would never ever recommend

In the past Modern Roofing , owner Larry Kelly has replaced my flat roof two times, and the original barrel roof with shingles in 2013.
Now the flat roof is bad again. But Larry Kelly from Modern Roofing seems he can't be bothered to keep his appointments with past customers.
He has made two appointments with me and NO SHOW or PHONE CALL. The last appointment he made with me was for the afternoon Wednesday 09/26/18 again NO SHOW.
So Mr Kelly I will not recommend you or your company ""Modern Roofing any longer to anyone.
If you want an reliable roofing company that keeps the appointment they make with you. CALL SOMEONE ELSE..

Larry was great, he gave a fair price, showed up on time with his crew and stood by his word and honored his warranty when we had a small issue after completion. Keep in mind there are few roofing companies who do not completely outsource their work from my own research and talking to others.... Modern is one that retains the same crew.

This company is not reliable they are reasonably priced but not worth the headache ... They make appointments they never show up to and to get a callback or someone to speak to is beyond a nightmare I've scheduled so far 3 appointments where I was assured by the owner Larry that someone would be here and nobody showed
