Jun Song at MNJ Roofing provided excellent service when giving me a roof consult and roof replacement estimate. He was efficient, punctual and polite. Another company suggested replacing our old flat roof. Mr. Song inspected the roof and informed us that it does not need to be replaced right away. He also suggested a different roofing material that seems much better than the material suggested by the other company, and does not cost more. I was very impressed with Mr. Song's extensive knowledge, the reasonably priced estimate, and his honesty when saying that the roof does not need immediate replacement. When we need a new roof, I will definitely hire MNJ.

We made an appointment through the website to have MNJ Roofing do routine maintenance for our 20-year old roof. We wanted the roof gutter cleaned and have one old TV cable removed from the roof.

Jun Song arrived on time and got to work right away. He set up an aluminum extension ladder, did a thorough inspection of our roof and told us we need to seal one exhaust pipe and gave us an estimate that included cleaning the gutter and removing the TV cable. He collected a full 5-gallon bucket of sand and debris from the gutter. We were grateful Jun did not toss the debris onto the side of the house like our first roofer did. Jun told us we have a 40-yr roof and that the roof condition is good. We asked if it would last another 20 years. He was not optimistic that it would last that long due to possible future cracks on aging shingles.

We are very happy we found MNJ Roofing after the sloppy work by another roofer.

We highly recommend MNJ Roofing. Jun was very meticulous. We are repeat customers. He did some roof mtc work earlier for us several years ago at another location. We will hire MNJ again when we need a new roof or future roof maintenance work. His prices are very reasonable.

Exceptional service and quality. Michael and Jun kept us informed on progress, recommended improvements along the way, and completed the roof in 2 days. MNJ Roofing was a disaster in every way. The scope included two flat roofs--over the garage and the patio's overhang. The garage is a work studio, filled with products for my daughter's business: furniture, home goods, etc. Before Michael started the work (showing up unannounced an hour early while I was in an online meeting) I asked if we should protect the contents and he said it wasn't needed, warning only that a ""little dust"" would fall. That ""little dust"" ended up being roofing debris and tar particles raining down into every crevice of every item inside. It took us 3 full days to clean away the debris, and we're still dealing with particles inside boxes.

Adding to the catastrophe in the garage was the mess underneath the patio overhang: nails, sawdust, roofing and wood pieces, not to mention paint drippings on the ground, statues, tables and pillows underneath. And throughout the overhang's plywood underside are rows of nails that completely missed the beams--sloppy work.

Michael wanted to add $500 to the contract price for what he called ""extra work."" Yet, most of these ""additional"" items were the very things we had talked about in our initial interview for my job and even written in the contract. He either didn't remember or was trying to scam me.

I don't relish writing negative reviews, but I couldn't let this one go. I will wish you a much better experience than mine if you choose to have MNJ Roofing do your roof.

Outstandingly service and work product. Fixed a leak on tile roof quickly post recent series of heavy rains, and at a very fair price. Will definitely use MNJ again if the need arises--highly recommend.

Jun is amazing! He and his brother did our roof a few years ago. With these recent storms we were a little concerned and we called them to just do a check on our roof and without hesitation they came to do an inspection. We had many questions for them as well because we were paranoid about these storms and the impact and Jun was patient with us and answered all our questions. I will highly recommend their services

Met with Jun from MNJ regarding my flat roof leak. He explained that given all the cracks and many patches on my 20+ year old roof, the best option is to replace it. He said trying to patch it again would likely not work for long if it all and he would lose a potential customer as a result. I appreciated his honesty and explained to him that I was remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen and would be removing some of the vents on the roof and installing new ones in different locations in about six months and wanted to wait until that work was finished before replacing the roof. He agreed that waiting would probably be a good idea and then offered me detailed instructions for the leak repair that I could handle myself. He explained he couldn't guarantee the patch work would stop the leak but it would be the best option given the circumstances.

Made an appointment, at the end of August with Michael Song for a leak on a 70 years old roof (3 layers, the outside layer being transite). He came and saw the living room, the attic and the roof and gave us an estimate. At the end of his visit my partner came and asked him if he was going to do a water test, and he said yes. Told him he's going to hear from us soon. Next day we sent him some additional pictures via texting, but no acknowledgement. We've seen several other contractors and we decided that Michael was the best choice. He seemed to be knowledgeable, professional and the price was quite fair. So, two weeks after he came we contacted him via texting and no reply. Monday 9/12/22 we wrote him an email at the email address posted on their website. No reply. Called on 9/13/22 twice, both his cell and the firm's phone, no reply. I'm an 88 yo veteran and, sincerely, we (me and my partner) did not expect to be treated like that. Not exactly sure why he behaves like this, and We don't want to speculate, but this is definitely not a good business model and behavior and by reading the other reviews I realized this is a recurrent behavior. Not to mention that if you read their presentation on their website, it says toward the end, that they are a family owned business, and they treat their customers like family :-)

Needed to get my roof fixed and they gave me a perfect price and came ahead of time! If I ever need help with gutter clean or roof leaks I refer all my friends to these guys! They get the job done fast and even cleaned my floor! Thank you again Jun and Michael!
