MK was contracted by my builder to put the roof on my home. After recent wind storm my house lost a few shingles. This incident happened after my warranty had let out so I asked a roofer friend to take a look at the damage to tell me what he thought a good estimate would be for repair. His inspection found several instances of high nailing.. This is when the roof installer does not put the nails in the reinforced strip designed to have the nail driven through it. If a nail is placed anywhere other than this strip the shingle has a higher chance of being ripped off by winds. So I was referred to the installer ""MK Custom Roofing"" even though the warranty was done. They came out reluctantly and fixed the problem without a charge. (this is why I gave 1 stars).... So fast forward to the problem I'm having today.. I have a roof leak. So I call MK Custom Roofing to try to give them the business and a chance to fix my roof. I was told sorry sir your warranty is done.. So I asked them to come out to do an estimate. I was told i would get a call the following Monday. So here I am 7 days after the day they were supposed to call me. Its ok I've got another roofer that is going to fix the problem for me. I'm so done with these guys.. Will I ever recommend these guys? No!

We had a storm with high winds that knocked off the metal roof to our dormer. MK Custom Roofing resolved the issue without hesitation and gave me a great deal. Highly recommend!

I wish all contractors were as professional as MK Custom Roofing. Not only was it done in one day as I was told, but the staff left my driveway and yard cleaner than it had been.

I wish I could give a zero star. My house is a new construction, just 2 years old. First before closing my entire roof had to be redone because these guys laid the decking didn't tarp it and returned in a week after lots of rain and just laid the shingles on the original decking that warped. They redid the roof, and now two years later the shingles are ripping off in a storm. We aren't talking a hurricane or anything just a regular storm. I called customer service and there is no warrantee. She wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor or give me her name she just hung up on me. Will never use them to repair my roof and will never use dr Horton again either as they don't stand behind the work their contractors do.

We had our new house constructed in 2012. It started to have a roof leak in three years causing damage inside the house.
We called MK Roofing to have them come take a look at the roof. First thing they told me was that it was no longer under warranty. ""What"" we thought. It has only been three years since it was installed.
Our new construction roofs are warranted for one year and all other roofs are warranted for two years.
They suggested I contact our insurance company to have our homeowners insurance cover it.
I said no because they installed a failed roof after three short years. No hail damage, just rain.

I would not recommend this company for any roof or repair.

Oh, MK Roofing (Dylan) said he would come out and take a look at it to see what kind of damage was done. That was three weeks ago and he has not called or come to our house to survey the damage.

Not only bad construction but terrible customer service too!
