Milner roofing finished installing my new roof this week (5/5/17). I have previously used Mike Milner to repair roof leaks on a commercial office building in Van Nuys. Milner roofing installed a new roof on my rental home in 2003. Mike and his family business is about as honest as the day is long. Mike and his brother in law Rod, assisted by their long time employee Louis still install roofs the old fashioned way, using a hammer and nails. They started on time and ended within a few days and I am very pleased with the result. I would recommend Milner roofing to anyone who wants a fair and reasonably priced roof, installed personally by the owners of this company. It is apparent that these contractors take great pride in their craftsmanship. For sure Milner Roofing is of an extremely high level when it comes to quality and customer service. I was referred to Mike by a good neighbor friend of mine. After getting quotes from several roofers...all within similar price ranges...perhaps the greatest quality Mike had over the other roofers was a sense of straight forward honesty. When a roof is torn off and it's open, a roofer then finds and replaces any worn out wood at additional expenses beyond the original quote. All roofers do this. Which kind of leaves you open to whatever your roofer tells you at that point. I never got the feeling Mike would do something unless it was needed. And I also never got the feeling that he would cut corners or do anything less that top notch work. He didn't find too much damaged wood. And the damaged wood he did find was replaced. Each day Mike and his crew showed up early and worked hard. Mike always kept me up to date and let me know where they were as far as progress. Everything went off without a hitch. Also one important thing to note...these guys hand nailed vs using a gun. While technically it shouldn't matter what technique is used many high quality roofers will agree that hand nailing is a better way to go to ensure the nail gets where it needs to go and stays there. I'm confident our roof will last for decades. Great work.

Milner Roofing is that rare business that fully services the customer. Mike returns calls, arrives when he promises, is clean and careful. Mike put on a new roof for us with the care of an artisan. Three years later he came out in the heavy rains to remedy a problem probably caused by someone else. He did it all with a smile! He went the extra mile for us!
