Terrible experience. Project was poorly estimated, over budget and was over schedule. Dishonest on multiple occasions. Had to hire another contractor to redo some of the tile work. They have a great sales pitch but it's lies. The 1 month project turned into 6 months and 8K over budget.

Mills Lake Construction is a big scam! Jorden Hollier and his wife Alexus had a good pitch but after we signed a contract they did a complete 190. We were having our kitchen remodel, Jordan promised us that they would be finished in 4 to 6 weeks, Him and his crew would show up once every two to three weeks. They said they would be at my house for 9 they would arrive at 11:30. We did get our wall cabinets installed after 12 weeks but they were all damaged from the screws being installed to tight. When I asked him to bring our Island cabinet (which was paid for) he would always give us a excuse! He said we were over budget by $10,000 dollars after we repeatedly asked him if we were still under. After 14 weeks we had to hire a attorney to try and get what we already paid for. We were repeatedly lied to by Jordan and Alexus. Our house was and still is in disarray! If i could give Mills Lake a negative thousand stars I would!

Mills Lake Construction and Jordan Hollier are a SCAM!!!!! Most importantly their workmanship was absolutely terrible. They promised 4-6 wks. We fired them after 12 weeks and they were far from finished. We gave them a hard $$ stop at the Contract total. They went waaayyyyy over budget and we are not halfway finished. I paid 24K for wall cabinets and island cabinets (I was told they would be solid wood....they aren't!!!). I did get the wall cabinets (a majority were damaged (screwed in too tight and cracked the cabinets) during installation and still do not have the island cabinets, which was included in the contract) so I will have to re-purchase the island cabinets. I did request a couple of extras along the way but it was not 20K more. This doesn't include counter tops, installation of sink, lighting, etc. The night before was NO steady schedule. Jordan told us he would ""determine who the angriest customer was and go to their home first"". He talks a good talk but absolutely cannot ""WALK THE WALK"". This is all about the $$$$$$$$. He actually told us the made $6MM after Hurricane Ida putting on roofs and charging people a lot of money. ""OH AND BY THE WAY THERE IS A LIEN FILED IN THE 22nd JUDICICAL DISTRICT COURT, COVINGTON, LA., ON JORDAN HOLLIER AND MILLS LAKE CONSTRUCTION FOR NOT PAYING FOR ROOFING SUPPLIES HE NEED TO ""FIX THE HURRICANE IDA'S"" DAMAGE. SAD.....SO SAD. IF THERE WAS AN OPTION TO GIVE 100 NEGITIVE STARS I WOULD.

Unprofessional. Scammers. Unethical. Fraud. They do not even file for permits. They do everything under the table, and they do terrible work that is not to code.
Google the Louisiana board of contractors for a small list of their violations- some of which they didn't even bother showing up for. Also, look at their BBB reviews. Hiring this company will be the worst mistake of your life! By the way, they can only do remodel projects for less than $75K and will bill you for way more, take the money, and run while leaving your house in ruins for months at a time.
Many people have filed complaints against them with the permit offices and the board of contractors, but nobody has sued them for their violations yet. No attorney will take the cases because they are not hurricane related. There is a grave neglect in the system and this company is profiting millions ($6M per year, according the so-called owner, Jordan, bragging about his personal income).

Owe subcontractors lots of money . There a scam . Owe over 20k to a company. Putting lien on all 5 houses
