Even though the work from Millennium Roofing is not yet complete at the time of writing this review, I am compelled to write it because I am impressed and pleased with the work ethics and professionalism of Armando.
I wanted a roof that was environmentally friendly so I researched and found out that metal roof was the way to go. While more expensive than the alternatives, metal roof is supposed to last around 50 years (with warranty) and, very importantly for me, when it needs to be replaced ,it can be recycled and does not end up in the landfill. I met several contractors in the past few weeks and got their quotes. I really did not feel comfortable with any of them and some of them even tried to dissuade me to install a metal roof and strongly recommended to go with shingles. Being a persisting woman, I continued searching for the right contractor and, based on the fabulous reviews that Millennium Roofing has earned, I reached out to them. I spoke with Armando, he listened to me, gave me a timely and fair quote for both shingles and metal roof, and answered my questions respectfully. He did not try to change my mind but rather worked with me. Needless to say, I got the feeling he was the person to go to (yes, sometimes you got to go with your gut feeling ;-) and hired him.
Armando is knowledgeable and has over 30 years of experience, yet, he has a quiet, humble, and patient demeanor. During our conversations he has never made me feel like ""he knows best"" - although he knows best :)
For the past four days, Armando has been showing up early in the morning with his two sons, who are assisting him while school is off, he explained. Those two young men are exceptional workers too and cool human beings- they are both Muay Thai amateurs and are into vegetarianism! I have seen how hard these three men work and that has earned them my admiration and respect.

We have asked Armando of Millenium Roofing to repair our roof in San Marcos. Armando and his team of workers spent about a week working on it. The quality of their work is first-rate. Not only did they repair the entire roof, but they also provided us with a 20-year warranty on this roof. After they finished the work, they cleaned up everything. During their work, Armando also mentioned to us that they had found some traces of termites beneath the roof and we needed to find a termites company to do something about it. Just a small leak, but from where (exactly?). Armando was extremely thorough, removed the tiles in the area and found ""the gap"". I am so happy I called Millenium Roofing. We decided to replace our 30 year old roof after finding some leaks around the flashings and other areas during the recent winter storms. Millennium was highly recommended by a friend, so we met with Armando and found him very knowledgeable when describing the work they would perform. We selected them and were not disappointed.

The work was mostly done by a 2 or 3 person crew and they arrived early each day and worked long hours with few breaks. They first power washed the tiles, then removed them and stacked them on the roof. Then removed all the old underlay tarpaper and looked for damage in the underlying plywood panels. They replaced more than 10 of those 4x8ft panels, as well as quite a few of the long 2x6in wood ridge boards that also had weather damage. The entire roof was re-covered in thick fiberglass underlay material and the tiles put back in place. Many of the tiles were cracked or broken, so Armando searched and found the identical Monier tiles for replacements, not easy since the company no longer makes them. They also replaced our old half moon dormer vents with new low profile O'Hagin vents which are better at blocking flying embers or pests. All flashings were also replaced with more modern materials and bird block added at the bottom edge of the tiles.

Armando was very easy to work with and was on-site frequently with his son Christian to inspect the work and keep us informed of their progress and any issues uncovered. His work crew was efficient and the job was fairly priced with no cost over-runs.

So we now have a strong durable roof to protect our home for the next 20 years, and a warranty from Millennium for any material or labor deficiencies during that period. And with the power-washed tiles back in place, it looks like a brand new roof.

Armando and all the guys at Millennium Roofing did an amazing job on our house. This was a large job - over 9,000 square feet of pitches, facets, ridges, hips, and 5 round rooms; over 80 sheets of plywood replaced, hundreds of square feet of shiplap replaced, over a hundred rafters repaired or replaced, old solar panels removed, couple skylights and solatubes installed and gutters. The team worked hard and long to get the project completed quickly. Throughout the process, Armando was at the jobsite, kept me informed on a daily basis, and was on right on target. We are so impressed with the quality of workmanship and all the detail that went into making this roof look amazing! We highly recommend Millennium Roofing.
