Howard came to our home and give us an estimate for our roof. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I would highly this recommend and will be using their services. They have been in business since 1972!

Was getting estimates for a new roof and a friend recommend we call Mike's... can NOT say enough about this company. We had Tony out for an estimate on a new roof and also to look at the flat roof in our sun room that was sagging, (was told by a few other contractors nothing could be done for the flat roof).They gave us an estimate for both, and were able to jack up the flat roof and put in post to fix it right away. Right before the new roof was to start we decided that we wanted to add rain gutters. Again they gave us an estimate right away. They gave us a date of when they were going to start the new roof replacement and started exactly on the date. The roofers were punctually on time which is great if you want to get it done right away, bad if you want to sleep in past 7am. They told us it would be a 3 day job, due to rain it got delayed by a day, but they came out on Saturday to finish the job. On the morning after the rain they couldn't do any roofing, but they did install our rain gutters, so no time was lost. Leslie in the office is a doll always there to answer all our questions and I'm sure at some point we will be having her over for wine on the front lawn so that we can all admire our new roof and gutters. Will definitely be contacting them again for any other building needs we might have in the future. So go ahead call the other guys get your estimates, then call Mike's Roofing and then hire them!

Mikes roof saved us, they came and fixed our flat roof in one day and thank God because our baby came just a week later.
It looks great and no leaks very professional, and the price was very good.

After researching over 6 roofing companies and having them out to bid on the job, it became clear that service, materials, warranties and costs vary a lot. Tony from Mike's Roofing came out and bid on the job. Tony went up on the roof and into the attic to inspect and make additional suggestions on how to improve our attic insulation - And this was before he even got the job! I'm mentioning this because most of the other roofing companies didn't even bother looking at the roof from inside the attic and figuring out the most efficient ventilation system for the roof. Their prices were very competitive and fair. It was a pleasure doing business with Mike's roofing and Tony since he was very knowledgeable, always returning calls promptly and visiting the job site whenever needed. In addition to needing a new roof installed we had thermal solar panels for swimming pool heating on our roof. The roofers had to work closely with the solar company (Environmental Solar Design) in order to stay on schedule and for the installation to be done right. The solar panels needed to be removed from the old roof and then the panel footers re-installed before the last step of the new roofing was being installed. The roofers did a fantastic job! It took only 1 week for the roof to be completed. They kept the work site very clean and even covered our swimming pool during the tear-off which is the messiest part of a new roof installation. The roof looks great and is warranted for 50 years! It has already rained quite a lot on the new roof and it is perfect. We highly recommend Mike's Roofing & Building and are very happy customers.

First the meat. Leslie said its $680 to lay down plastic with no guarantee of any kind because its a flat roof. Also, No appointments available today or tomorrow for a repair.

So the first time it rains in Los Angeles in over year, i find we have a roof leak. That's a total bummer, so i turn to my trusty yelp app to look for a vendor that can come by and take a look to fix. I search in Van Nuys since this roof is in Van Nuys.

First they leave me on hold for about 1 1/2 but the station they have you on hold with is terrible. My view is that if you are going to have someone on hold, at least give them a ""clear"" radio station. It's very hard to be on hold with static...

But for $680 ? for plastic? yeah I'd rather take my business else where...

I was introduced to Mike's Roofing & Building at one of the Sherman Oaks Chamber events (I am a speaker and was speaking there that day). We exchanged cards like we do customarily at all networking events, and Tony was so responsive in following up with me for an estimate - his follow through was impeccable. His timely estimates, via email, were extremely professional and fair.

I decided to work with them to re-do the insulation of my house. I had gotten one estimate a few months before, but that other company never followed up, they just gave a verbal estimate and that was it - it was Tony's confident and timely follow through that was the reason for my hiring them.

The job was done both thoroughly and quickly in one day, with first class excellence, a wonderful team of workers who went above and beyond the call of duty. They were on time, courteous, very respectful of my home and left it super clean!! They even came back the next day to ensure everything was working properly and provided a lifetime warranty on the insulation. Truly beautifully done. When we spoke I realized that they do not just do ""roofing-related"" construction (I thought that because of their company name..).

So much so that I hired them the very next day to do an even bigger job: a 6foot cinder block fence/wall going over 160 feet around the perimeter of my house. Again, their estimate was fair, timely and thorough. The work they did on such a huge job was impeccable. The top notch materials they used, and the finishing they provided made me want to look for one more project to give them (which I will when I build my home extension next!). The wall project was started on time and, even though it took a bit longer to finish, they did not charge extra. I love that they charge by the project - I find that very honest. I love even more that they take their time to do a thorough job, that they take pride in the quality of their work, and there's no rushing nor cutting corner.

Every morning Rafael and his trusted crew would be there between 7:00am and 7:30am and would work till 3:00-3:30 M-F, and even came a Saturday one week to make up for the delay due to rains. Everything I asked, they found a way to provide it. Rafael and his crew are solution oriented and want their customers happy. They not only say that, they walk their talk. There was a bit of a unforeseeable speed bump along the way, and they could have easily added that cost on to my bill, instead they took care of contracting it out to the right professional and they covered the cost. That was above and beyond the call of duty, and it's what sealed the deal for me as far as calling them again and again for any type of construction/GC jobs I will have in the future. We even had a pretty substantial earthquake during construction - the wall was about half-way done (3..4..feet high), and it withstood that test with flying colors.

As a home owner, I want things done right the first time, and I can be quite picky. I am self-empolyed and so cost is even more important to me. Tony, Rafael, Ramiro and their team have the highest work ethics and I could not give them a higher stamp of approval. I am loving the result of their high quality workmanship, the fairness of what they charged me, and the opportunity to work with them again and again in the future, I am sure.

Hire Mike's Roofing & Building for ANY construction project you have...small or big... like me, you will be glad you did!!

Mike's Roofing replaced the original roof on this residence that was built in 1955. Basically two roofs in 60 years...that is very respectable.

There were some minor cosmetic repairs needed recently on their current roof put on some 25+ years ago.

They made the repairs and inspected the roof. Everything looks good for at least 10 more years.

These guys have been doing this for over 30 years. Use them...they have a proven track record.

Our office had a bit of an electrical problem so we immediately called Mikes Roofing & Building to help us out! I knew they did electric work and they have a very good reputation in the community!

The guy they sent out was knowledgeable, clean, and knew immediately what the problem was.

They fixed our electrical problem at a very reasonable rate and we are very happy with the work.
