Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with over 30 years of expertise in installing metal roofs, shingles, tile roofs, cedar shakes, and slate. Initially, we functioned as a roofing and renovation company, but quickly transitioned our attention on the roofing sector. Over the years, we have framed houses, and in the early 2000s, we started contracting new construction. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We stand as a top roofing company known for our technique and knowledge in Northwest Florida. Mike Farris, at the age of 64, is still engaged in roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can ascend a ladder. I studied at two full years of engineering school from 1971 to 1973, along with construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast State College. I also completed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in networking. I cleared the English exam in 1971, but because of the absence of CLEP results, the college refused credit, even though Alabama University recognized it. The A+ course was only available on Wednesday nights, and I lead a class at church that night, so I refused to take the course. I also hold current credentials for Wayne dispensers and Verifone Sapphire and Commander systems. I hold two Certified State licenses in the construction industry: General Contractor license and Roofing Contractor. My business was established in 1981, after six years of roofing and home repairs as additional work. We transitioned to a corporation in 1992, and have upheld that corporation since then.
