Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with over 30 years of expertise in installing metal roofs, shingles, tile roofs, cedar shakes, and slate. At first, we functioned as a roofing and remodeling company, but soon transitioned our attention on roof installation. Over the years, we constructed houses, and in the early 2000s, we began contracting new construction. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We are a premier roofing company known for the expertise and knowledge in the Florida Panhandle. Mike Farris, at the age of 64, is actively engaged in roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can climb a ladder. I attended two full years of engineering school from 1971-1973, along with construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast State. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in networking. I cleared the English exam in 1971, but because of the absence of CLEP results, Gulf Coast State College did not grant credit, even though Alabama University recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday nights, and I teach a class at church that night, so I declined to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne POS systems and Verifone Sapphire and Commander. I have dual Certified State licenses in the state of Florida's construction field: General Contractor and Roofing Contracting. My business started in 1981, after a six-year period of roofing work and home repairs as side work. The company became a corporation in 1992, and have maintained that corporation ever since.
