Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with 35 years of expertise in fitting steel roofing, asphalt shingles, tile roofs, shakes, and slate tiles. Initially, we functioned as a roofing and renovation company, but rapidly focused our services on the roofing sector. As time passed, we have framed houses, and in the year 2002, we initiated contracting new homes. Today, we still focus on roofing.

We stand as a top roofing company known for our technique and knowledge in the Florida Panhandle. Mike Farris, at the age of 64, is actively working on roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can ascend a ladder. I studied at two years of engineering school from 1971 through 1973, plus construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast State College. I also completed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in networking. I successfully completed the English exam in 1971, but as a result of the lack of CLEP results, the college did not grant credit, even though Alabama University recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday nights, and I teach a class at church that night, so I refused to take the course. I also hold current credentials for Wayne dispensers and Verifone Sapphire and Commander POS. I possess a pair of Certified State licenses in the state of Florida's construction field: General Contractor and Roofing Contractor. Our company was established in 1981, after six years of roofing and residential repairs as additional work. We transitioned to a corporation in 1992, and have upheld that corporation since its inception.
