Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with over 30 years of expertise in installing metal roofing, asphalt shingles, tile roofs, shakes, and slate roofing. Initially, we functioned as a roofing and remodeling company, but quickly focused our services on the roofing sector. As time passed, we built houses, and in the year 2002, we began contracting new homes. We are still dedicated to roofing.

We pride ourselves on being a leading roofing company known for the technique and proficiency in the Florida Panhandle. Mike Farris, now 64, is actively engaged in roofs. I have no intention of stopping as long as I can climb a ladder. I completed a couple of years of engineering school from 1971 to 1973, along with construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I passed the English exam in 1971, but because of the non-retention of CLEP results, GCSC refused credit, even though UA recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday nights, and I lead a class at church that night, so I refused to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne POS systems and Verifone Sapphire and Commander POS. I possess two Certified State licenses in the Florida construction sector: General Contractor license and Roofing Contracting. My business started in the year 1981, after six years of roofing and residential repairs as a side business. We transitioned to a corporation in 1992, and have continued that corporation ever since.
