Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with 35 years of expertise in putting in place metal roofing, roof shingles, tile roofing, cedar shakes, and slate. Initially, we worked as a roofing and restoration company, but quickly transitioned our services on roofing. As time passed, we constructed houses, and in the early 2000s, we started contracting new construction. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We stand as a top roofing company known for the skill and knowledge in the Northwest Florida region. At 64 years old, is actively performing roofs. I have no intention of stopping as long as I can climb a ladder. I attended two years of engineering school from 1971 to 1973, plus construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I finished all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer systems. I passed the English exam in 1971, but due to the non-retention of CLEP results, GCSC did not grant credit, even though the University of Alabama recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday evenings, and I teach a class at church that night, so I declined to take the course. I also hold current credentials for Wayne POS systems and Verifone point-of-sale systems and Commander. I possess dual Certified State licenses in the construction industry: General Contractor license and Roofing Contractor. Our company was established in 1981, after six full years of roofing and home repairs as a side business. The company became a corporation in 1992, and have continued that corporation ever since.
