Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with three and a half decades of expertise in fitting steel roofing, roof shingles, ceramic roofing, shakes, and slate roofing. Initially, we worked as a roofing and restoration company, but soon transitioned our attention on roof installation. Throughout the years, we have framed houses, and in the year 2002, we initiated contracting new construction. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We pride ourselves on being a leading roofing company known for our expertise and knowledge in Northwest Florida. Mike Farris, now 64, is actively working on roofs. I have no intention of stopping as long as I can scale a ladder. I attended two years of engineering school from 1971 through 1973, in addition to construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I passed the English exam in 1971, but as a result of the lack of CLEP results, the college did not grant credit, even though UA recognized it. The A+ certification was only available on Wednesday evenings, and I conduct a class at church that night, so I declined to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne dispensers and Verifone point-of-sale systems and Commander systems. I hold two Certified State licenses in the construction industry: General Contracting and Roofing Contracting. Our company was established in the year 1981, after six years of roofing work and home repairs as a side business. We transitioned to a corporation in the year 1992, and have maintained that corporation since then.
