Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with three and a half decades of expertise in fitting metal roofs, shingles, tile roofs, cedar shakes, and slate. Initially, we worked as a roofing and restoration company, but rapidly focused our attention on roofing. As time passed, we built houses, and in the year 2002, we initiated contracting new residential projects. Today, we still focus on roofing.

We pride ourselves on being a leading roofing company known for our skill and experience in the Florida Panhandle. Mike Farris, now 64, is continuously engaged in roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can climb a ladder. I completed a couple of years of engineering school from 1971 to 1973, along with construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast State College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in networking. I passed the English exam in 1971, but due to the lack of CLEP results, Gulf Coast State College did not grant credit, even though Alabama University recognized it. The A+ course was only available on Wednesday nights, and I teach a class at church that night, so I refused to take the course. I also hold current credentials for Wayne POS systems and Verifone systems and Commander systems. I hold two Certified State licenses in the state of Florida's construction field: General Contractor and Roofing Contractor license. Our company started in 1981, after six full years of roofing work and home repairs as side work. We transitioned to a corporation in 1992, and have upheld that corporation since its inception.
