Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with 35 years of expertise in fitting metal roofing, shingles, tile roofs, shakes, and slate roofing. Initially, we operated as a roofing and renovation company, but rapidly focused our attention on the roofing sector. As time passed, we built houses, and in the early 2000s, we initiated contracting new homes. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We are a premier roofing company known for our expertise and proficiency in the Florida Panhandle. Mike Farris, at the age of 64, is actively working on roofs. I have no intention of stopping as long as I can climb a ladder. I completed two full years of engineering school from 1971-1973, in addition to construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I cleared the English exam in the year 1971, but due to the lack of CLEP results, Gulf Coast State College denied credit, even though Alabama University recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday nights, and I teach a class at church that night, so I declined to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne point-of-sale systems and Verifone systems and Commander. I hold a pair of Certified State licenses in the state of Florida's construction field: General Contractor license and Roofing Contractor. My business started in 1981, after a six-year period of roofing work and home repairs as a side business. We transitioned to a corporation in 1992, and have maintained that corporation ever since.
