Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with 35 years of expertise in fitting metal roofs, asphalt shingles, ceramic roofing, cedar shakes, and slate roofing. At first, we functioned as a roofing and renovation company, but soon shifted our services on the roofing sector. Over the years, we built houses, and in 2002, we started contracting new residential projects. We continue to specialize in roofing.

We stand as a top roofing company known for the expertise and knowledge in the Northwest Florida region. Mike Farris, at the age of 64, is actively working on roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can ascend a ladder. I completed two full years of engineering school from 1971-1973, in addition to construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I passed the English exam in 1971, but as a result of the absence of CLEP results, GCSC did not grant credit, even though UA recognized it. The A+ program was only available on Wednesday nights, and I lead a class at church that night, so I refused to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne point-of-sale systems and Verifone point-of-sale systems and Commander systems. I hold two Certified State licenses in the state of Florida's construction field: General Contractor and Roofing Contracting. Our company started in 1981, after a six-year period of roofing and home repairs as side work. The company became a corporation in 1992, and have maintained that corporation since then.
