Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with three and a half decades of expertise in fitting metal roofs, asphalt shingles, tile roofing, cedar shakes, and slate roofing. Initially, we worked as a roofing and renovation company, but soon focused our attention on roofing. As time passed, we constructed houses, and in 2002, we started contracting new homes. We are still dedicated to roofing.

We are a premier roofing company known for our skill and knowledge in the Northwest Florida region. Mike Farris, now 64, is actively performing roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can climb a ladder. I completed two full years of engineering school from 1971 to 1973, plus construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I passed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I passed the English exam in 1971, but due to the lack of CLEP results, Gulf Coast State College denied credit, even though UA recognized it. The A+ certification was only available on Wednesday nights, and I lead a class at church that night, so I chose not to to take the course. I maintain current credentials for Wayne dispensers and Verifone point-of-sale systems and Commander systems. I have two Certified State licenses in the Florida construction sector: General Contracting and Roofing Contracting. The business started in 1981, after six years of roofing and residential repairs as side work. We transitioned to a corporation in the year 1992, and have upheld that corporation since its inception.
