Company Overview

Mike Farris Inc. is a seasoned roofing contractor with over 30 years of expertise in fitting steel roofing, shingles, ceramic roofing, cedar shakes, and slate. At first, we worked as a roofing and remodeling company, but quickly transitioned our efforts on the roofing sector. Throughout the years, we have framed houses, and in the year 2002, we initiated contracting new residential projects. Today, we still focus on roofing.

We are a premier roofing company known for our expertise and proficiency in the Northwest Florida region. Mike Farris, now 64, is actively engaged in roofs. I intend to keep going as long as I can scale a ladder. I attended two full years of engineering school from 1971-1973, plus construction management and estimating courses from Gulf Coast Community College. I also completed all courses except A+ and English toward an Associate's degree in computer networks. I cleared the English exam in the year 1971, but due to the absence of CLEP results, GCSC did not grant credit, even though UA recognized it. The A+ course was only available on Wednesday evenings, and I teach a class at church that night, so I chose not to to take the course. I possess current credentials for Wayne dispensers and Verifone point-of-sale systems and Commander. I possess dual Certified State licenses in the construction industry: General Contractor license and Roofing Contractor. My business began in 1981, after a six-year period of roofing and residential repairs as a side business. We became a corporation in 1992, and have maintained that corporation since then.
