We were promised a ""supervised"" new roofing installation by Rep Cody Taplin. The roofers arrived at 6:20am. Cody arrived at 8:00am. He left the job at 8:30am stating that he had an appointment at 9:00 else where. ???? He never returned. No work permit was pulled in Richland County for my address. No one on the crew spoke English. When negotiating with Cody, we had another bid for a new roof with gutters/down spouts. It was $10,650. I showed that bid to Cody. Mighty dog wanted $13,665. I asked Cody what were we getting extra for the extra money? Who in their right mind would pay $3000 for the same installation? That is when Cody Taplin stated that he would supervise the 1 day job. At over 70 years of age, this took the worry of any installation mishap away. I thought. I told my husband that the extra money of $3000 was worth the supervised installation. No supervision and SOOOOOO many errors were made. I asked Cody to meet me on site. He refused. I asked Cody for my $3000 refund, we gained no job supervision. He refused. He referred me to Buddy Ramantanin. Buddy met me on site. Buddy made notes. Hearing nothing, I called him back 2 days later. He advised that no corrections would be made. I advised that if the corrections on my roofing job were not gained and if I did not get my $3000 refund, I would take legal action. I forewarned of reporting him for no permit to LLR. I asked him to get a permit (even though the work was completed) so he could ask for a Richland County inspector to visit the site and be our mediator, to be fair. (Because with no permit, no inspection can be requested, the work is unauthorized by the county.) I asked for Buddy's supervisor. He stated for me not to expect a call from Cole (Simpson). Buddy also cancelled my request to Sierrea at the office for a call back from Cole. I gained no call or any correspondence. To be fair, I have no knowledge that Cole Simpson received any message. I assume that Buddy Ramantanin made the decisions. I will never know, until our court date, if Cole was asked to call me. Three months have passed. . With my legal paperwork filed and the report made to the LLR, I am awaiting the court date. Cole Simpson has not tried to contact me, still. Cole Simpson brags of 1 million made in revenue the first 3 months of operation. It would be interesting to see if subpoenas are sought for each and every job for proof of work permits.
