I had Midwest Roofing install the roof at my home this year and I couldn't be happier. The estimator, Christian was knowledgeable, helpful, and very easy to get a hold of throughout the whole process. The crew was fast, communicated well, and left the site clean after each work day. I have been through many construction projects in the past, but this one was more complicated than most, since it required multiple trades working together to get everything done right, and in a timely manner. I highly recommend Midwest Roofing and will be contacting them for my upcoming commercial projects.

Please don't use them. Very poor quality in work. They will leave you with major issues in the future and will not stand by their work but will blame it on other vendors.

Very disappointing experience with Midwest Roofing as I got this as a referral from its industry competitor. I have called numerous times within about 45 days but never did I get a call back and I just feel like I am begging them to take my business!!! I would not recommend this place at all. Bad customer service.

The worst! their web site says ""Customer Satisfaction"" a Mid West Tradition. If I were from the mid west I would take offense to that. We had a commercial roof installed by them several years ago and have had several leaks since. First you are bound to pay for a maintenance program that costs you almost $500.00 per year to maintain a 10 year warranty with them. Which is $5000.00 over the coarse of 10 years. I could buy a new roof for that price. That aside, trying to get anyone at the business to follow through with what they say is almost impossible. Every time that we call to try to schedule a repair we get the runaround. This time, I have 5 calls in so far without any sort of resolution.Hector says Danielle will call you back. That never happened. Gabby says she will check it out and call me back personally. NOT!! Danielle says she is going to look into it and call me back. WHAT A JOKE!!! Please, do yourself a HUGE favor and if you ever have Mid-West Roofing and Solar referred to you, RUN FAST AND RUN FAR!!!!!

I signed a contract for a completely new roof with solar panels last fall; the work was completed in January -- and I still do not have functioning solar power. The process of getting a solar system approved by the city and DWP is admittedly labyrinthine, but Midwest promised when they bid on the job that they would help me navigate it. They have not.

First Midwest neglected to file one of the required forms, which caused my initial application to lapse -- something that I learned not from Midwest but from the DWP months after it had happened (and after Midwest had quietly opened a new application and submitted the proper paperwork, all the while telling me that they were ""waiting for DWP."") Midwest was subsequently responsible for three failed inspections, including one in which Midwest had sent an unlicensed electrician to make corrections that had been requested by the inspector on the previous inspection.

So almost nine months since the installation of a system that has been paid for in full, I have yet to enjoy the financial and environmental benefits of installing it. How has Midwest handled this? Not well. Rather than take responsibility for the lapsed application and failed inspections, the owner told me that the DWP intentionally makes it difficult to get systems approved because they ""don't want people to get solar"" and blamed the delays on overzealous inspectors. (To any DWP inspectors reading this: thank you for catching a series of potentially dangerous code violations at my house.)

Their combination of arrogance and incompetence has been staggering and frustrating. Midwest was initially recommended by my contractor, who has now stopped working with them. From my experience, I would encourage others to look elsewhere, as well.

WOW - Midwest Roofing did an incredible job replacing our garage roof and fixing an issue we had on the roof on our house. Lorenzo came out and thoroughly problem solved the issue on our house roof. The garage was a slightly complicated job, so Lorenzo had a supervisor come out so they could give us an accurate estimate and make sure the job was going to completed the way we wanted. Their roofers were real craftsman who took pride in their work. The supervisor came by several times to check on the job. The workers cleaned up well when they were finished. Lorenzo was a great communicator throughout the process. We could not have been happier and from this point forward we would never consider using anyone else!

Randy, Steve and the crew were honest, timely and thorough. The crew showed up on time and worked throughout the day to get it done. The roof looks great and the price was the best of 6 estimates we received. Thanks Guys!

This roofing company did excellent work- timely, clean, honest, did exactly what they stated and more. Great crew and manager that was on top of their work. I got three bids for my job (which was big)- theirs came in the lowest and i couldn't have been happier with their work.

I used Midwest Roofing for a complete re roof. My roof was in terrible shape and it also had three layers. We had to go with a complete reroof and really didn't know who to use. I received several estimates from out of the phone book. I contacted my realtor for any referrals. She referred me to A1 Roofing and Midwest Roofers. I contacted both for an estimate. I got the same estimate from both roofers. We decided to go with A1 because we needed the financing plan that A1 offered. Midwest Roofing does not offer a financing option. Robert from Midwest Roofers called me back and told me that they would allow us 120 days to pay off the roof and take a credit card if they could just get our business. I decided to go with Midwest Roofers because Robert swore to me how they would do a wonderful job and really wanted our business. I wish I would have gone with my first choice. This was a complete nightmare. First, it took over a month before they even came out to start the job. Robert kept telling me a few more weeks and then I would hear nothing. I would call and he would say a few more weeks etc. Finally, Robert called and said they would be starting the next week and the project manager should be calling us. We never received a call from a project manager and didn't know when they were going to show up. I called Robert and he told me they would be out the next day and it would really help if we could PUT PLASTIC IN OUR GARAGE! They gave us just a few hours to prepare our garage because the project manager failed to get with us! The workers showed up the next morning and they were ready to plastic the garage!! Really now!! Why the hell were we asked to do something that they are supposed to do??? The price we settled on was $6400 + permit. I wanted to let everyone know this because it will be important towards the end. The workers tore off 3 layers of roof and left the roof completely bare and went home for the day. Later that afternoon, the weather said that we had rain moving in! Never rains in Cali until now of course! I frantically called the roofing company because my house would be ruined!!! About 45 min later, the project manager showed up with tarp and one worker. My husband had to get up on the roof with them to speed up this process. After 2 hours, the tarp was on the roof! Of course it rained overnight. The next day, we went to work and came home to find wood going up on the roof. The following day.....went to work and took off early to come home and find workers laying on my lawn eating their lunch and sleeping! AAHHH! VERY unprofessional! The workers went home early this day and left all tools on my roof! A shovel was left right above my entry way door!!! WHAT IS THIS COMPANY THINKING??? We wondered if any safety is taught to this individuals. The roof was completed in 4 days. After the roof was completed, the project manager informed us that there was a lot more wood that needed replacing than they thought. We wondered why they didn't tell us this during the process???!!! Lack of communication between the company and customers?? We walked around the house and noticed that all of the edges were crooked and not sealed down. We contacted them and they sent out a few people to visualize this. We noticed some anger between a few of the managers because they were going to have to pay to send someone back out again. They sent a few guys out the following Sat. along with the project manager. This was a father and son doing the work. The father didn't speak english and the son was translating for them. The project manager kind of laughed and told us that they weren't paying them for screwing up!!!!! What???? The project manager stayed about 2 hours and left for the day leaving my husband to deal with these two guys. They kept asking my husband if it looked right??? Are you serious???? Aren't they supposed to know this job??? They ended up having to come out a second time and fix it. The job is definitely not the best but we are tired of this crap and hope that reading this you won't want to deal with the frustrations that you will have to deal with going with Midwest Roofing. Remember about that quote of $6400 + permit? Well, this became over $8300! They even added a tarp price in that my husband helped them put up! They later removed that charge but the final price was $8160!! Unbelievable! We wrote a letter to the owner, Darren. He contacted me about two weeks later. He told us that he wanted to get the items fixed and that was the last we heard from him. He didn't want to deal with anything. This is a family business and very unprofessional. If someone screws up, it's no big deal because they are family. I would definitely recommend going with a large roofing business such as A1. Stay far away from this one!
