Had my roof replaced 6 years ago by a different contractor. Huge storm last night revealed a leak that was conveniently located above my bed. I sent a Yelp! request for quote and was contacted within a couple of hours by Gina. She commiserated with my situation and let me know she would call to schedule same or next day service depending on severity of situations due to the storm. Totally acceptable! She called a couple of hours later and said someone will meet me in half an hour. Brad showed up, looked at leaky spot and went on roof to diagnose the problem. He took photos and showed me an air vent that had not been caulked and glued down. Quick repair and really nice guy.

I called Mid State Roofing about a leak in my roof on a Saturday. They called me back first thing Monday morning, and were at my home to assess and fix the problem within hours. There was considerable damage (they took photos for me to see) as the chimney was not sealed and there was a cracked tile. They fixed everything, took photos again, and I couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend Mid State Roofing!

I made the right choice when selecting Mid-Sate Roofing to replace the roof on my house and garage. Before I selected Mid-State Roofing, I received two other bids from local roofing companies, so that I could make side-by-side comparisons. With everything being equal (type of roofing material, Etc.), I was in a much better position to make an informed decision.

There were three main factors, as to why I awarded to roofing contract to Mid-State:

1. Professionalism of the people representing Mid-State Roofing(Bill & Wade). They both took the time to answer my questions and concerns and explain the roofing process in detail.
2. They offered the best price and backed that with the best warranty on the market.
3. When I told them who I was receiving two other bids from, both Bill and Wade only had good things to say about their competitors. This was not true for the other two.

From start to finish, Bill, Wade, and the workers were polite, professional, willing to answer questions. The workers cleaned daily and when the work was complete, left my yard and home cleaner than when they started and it was already pretty clean to begin with. On the final day of work, I bought pizza and soda for the workers for lunch and had the opportunity to talk with workers and why they like working with Mid-Sate versus other roofing companies and their biggest response was... ""We are treated with respect"".

So, after all was said and done, I can honestly say that I experienced value greater than the cost of doing business and in my world that is a huge win.

Beware!! Bill is so nice and cooperative while providing the estimate for service, but, once you sign the contract and they begin the work, he is a completely different person. In my opinion, this company has very deceptive business practices. They charged extra on a contract bid for work that was not authorized, in writing or verbally. Do not trust this company!!

Mid State Roofing was fabulous! The moment I met with Bill for an estimate, I knew they were the best roofers for me. They were informative, fairly priced, communicated effectively, punctual, honest, trustworthy, respectful, efficient, and they truly cared about my house! Part way through my project, it started to rain, and they responded by coming to my house at 5:30 AM to make sure everything was covered and protected. They went above and beyond! I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof.

From the first contact to paying the final bill, all of the personnel I came in contact with were informative, respectful and helpful. I recently had the roof replaced on two housing structures and a winery building on my property. It was a BIG job, and this company completed it beautifully!! On time, on budget, they were neat, addressed any issue I had immeaditely...basically exceeded my expectations on all levels!!! I was worried that the project would extend passed the promised completion date...nope! They worked through some rain, through the weekend to complete the project ahead of schedule. Wade (the owner) and BIll were on the job everyday, they assist me in some design decisions...overall, I cannot say enough about how professional and communicative they were!!!

Too expensive for work that was completed. I thought I was paying 2500$ to have a side of the house replaced it ended up being a patch job on 2 1/2 rows. After pricing out material and labor generously it came to about 1000$. Now I am wondering get where the rest of the money goes too. Also the owner wanted to collect for the job without the licensed roofer inspecting first. I insisted that this was done before paying. I will say that the work was decent. I just feel that next time I will be looking for a more affordable option for a guy on a budget.

Bad experience. Added on charges for materials he had not put in original contract bid. Saying we needed to pay more for our not paying him the day he finished...however, they left a mess for several days after work completed, then we paid in full after they cleaned up. Owner was out of contract for not cleaning up; when they finished removing the debris, we paid immediately after they got all removed. Then we got tagged by a home inspector hired by the buyer for something the roofer did not do right, we asked Mid State owner to take care of this however he said no he would not fix what was needed for our sale that the buyers home inspector found fault with and he demanded (extorted) a few hundred dollars cash from us; this was after he was paid in full, he demanded more cash money to take care of the item the inspector took issue with which we needed addressed in order to sell as we were in escrow. Stay clear. Very bully-ish. Terrible owner and deceptive practices. The workers were ok themselves. We had to pay him the extra unfair added on money or he would not take care of the problem. We felt extorted.
Unheard of situation. Just Wade's, the owners, bull.
