I am new to the CLT area and I asked my Realtor to contract Merritt to do a simple roof inspection for a home purchase Due Diligence even though they weren't their 1st choice. Long story short, we are going on the 4th business day (and there was a weekend in there as well) but we still have no report back and just poor communication. I checked Merritt out on BBB but this experience has certainly fallen short and I wouldn't recommend. I understand there is a multitude of reasons or excuses for a lack of simple communication and follow through but at the end of the day the experience for your potential future customer is just poor.

I would highly recommend Merritt roofing. Ryan came to my house on a Monday to evaluate a leak around my metal roof. Although he could have taken advantage by recommending extensive repairs, he not only recommended a simple repair and maintenance to start with but also squeezed me into his busy schedule the very next day knowing on Wednesday there was going to be severe weather and much rain . That peace of mind has gone a long way to build trust and confidence in the way this company operates. I will absolutely trust my future roofing needs with Ryan and Merritt roofing and so should you .

My mother had some pipe boots leaking and due to the improper installation of ridge vent the attic wasn't able to ventilate properly. This caused the upstairs to be unbearable in the summertime. We got Merritt roofing out to the house to add in an attic fan to help the circulation of air inside the attic which keeps it way cooler now and helps out the a/c a lot. Also they fixed all of the pipe boots and the shingles around them the correct way and there hasn't been any leaking since. We look forward to using Merritt roofing in the future to replace the whole roof.

Really disappointed not to receive timely answers to my questions. Quote was boilerplate and was not specific to my situation. I was told to follow up with any questions, which I did, but Merritt was not prepared to provide answers to questions specific to my gutters and roof.

I may be a little bias but Merritt Roofing is one of the best roofing companies in the area. The owner has 25 years of experience in construction and as an insurance adjuster. Their quality of work and professionalism is top notch!
