I hired this roofer to redo the flat roof on my garage and address a gutter overflow issue in my backyard. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The gutter overflow issue remains unresolved. The roofer stopped responding to my calls, leaving me unable to address the issues.

I can't believe that no one has reviewed Mendez Roofing yet, and I am the first. Christian and Caroline are the epitome of hardworking, honest entrepreneurs that care about their customers.

I used them to do two gutter cleanings a few years back. They did very good work on those jobs, but I hadn't had the occasion to use them since, until today.

The recent atmospheric river caused leaking in my roof, which I thot might be related to clogged downspouts. I posted the job on Yelp and five sharks swarmed me with high minimum trip charges and addl services amd charges to actually correct the problem, and it was going to take until next day to come over.

So I looked at my contacts called Caroline. She remembered me and offered to come over w Christian within two hours. Rather than give me ""emergency"" pricing like the others. Christian checked out the roof determined what needed to be done and used some tar paper to temporarily divert water until the weather clears and they can do the permanent repair.

They didn't charge for the temporary fix or service call and instead trusted me to call them back for the final repair and square things then. It is such a pleasure to work w people who do things the old-fashioned way where there is mutual trust.

It was so refreshing working w Caroline and Christian vs. the yelp sharks who exist to capitalize on people's misfortune. I gave Caroline and Christian a large tip for their first visit. It is important to show good, honest people appreciation for being GOOD, HONEST people. It is becoming rarer and rarer these days.
