He took my down payment for some window replacements. Didn't hear from him for close to a month then he stated he was out because of his back and is barely ordering the windows. 1 month later he states he's going thru financial concerns and will have my windows done by end of July. End of July and I had to reach out to him. Found out he never ordered the windows took my down payment and is now not returning my messages. Stay away from this crook. I will definately have to go thru the legal process since he has shown to be a person of no integrity or morals to do the right thing.

We had the privilege of working with Shawn for many projects, big and small. He replaced our roof during the hail storm 2 years ago and did an excellent job. We had some back and forth with our insurance about what would and wouldn't be covered, but he advocated for the best materials for us to ensure the roof would last. He even updated out vents to match the shingles. We plan on using his services for our kitchen remodel as well. Trustworthy, kept us up to date on progress, and efficient. We would never use another contractor!

Where do I even begin with this review? We used this guy to replace our roof because he was referred to us by a good friend so we didn't get any other estimates and didn't bother to see if there were any reviews (there weren't any reviews by the way).

Everything started out great. He came out with the insurance adjuster and helped us get the insurance company to cover the cost to replace the roof minus our deductible of course. So I thought ""great!"" When he came to have us sign the contract, he offered to give us a coupon to help offset some of our deductible. We agreed of course and signed the contract.

The gentlemen that came out to do the actual job were very nice and finished the job over a weekend. Perfect! Another ""well done!"" in this referral. Right? Okay, well maybe kudos to the hard workers, but that's where my kudos stop.

The owner, Shawn is by far the RUDEST person I have ever done business with and you better believe we will NEVER do business with him again nor will I EVER refer him to anyone. After the job had begun, my husband found out from the friend who referred this guy that Shawn had messed up the paperwork for the insurance so the insurance didn't pay out everything they were supposed to leaving my husband's friend to have to pay out of pocket when he shouldn't have had to. When I heard about this, my stomach turned. If this guy has been in business for 20+ years, how could he still be messing up invoices? I didn't want that to happen to us so when he came to collect the check for the portion of our deductible that wasn't being waived, I had some questions to ask and to say that I was shocked at his responses is an understatement. When I started asking him questions, he started getting nervous and defensive and could only respond with vague answers or ""I don't know"". Like he had no idea what the numbers meant from the adjusters report. And he's been doing this for how long again?? Below are some of the comments he made to me after he said he could no longer offer the full amount of the agreed upon coupon leaving my husband and I to shell out more than what we had agreed to and what we had budgeted for.

- ""You're basically getting a free roof so I don't know why you're complaining.""
- ""This is the price someone would charge for a subcontracted job"" (excuse me, but wasn't it a bunch of other guys that did come do the job? Certainly wasn't Shawn himself that sweated their butt off to replace our roof)
- (while waiving the check at me) ""This isn't going to feed my family"" (well then next time don't offer a coupon to discount the deductible if you need to feed your family)
- ""just give me my money""
- ""the only reason I'm finishing this job now is because I'm obligated to""
- ""I misread the numbers from the adjuster""
- ""the adjuster's numbers are wrong"" (come to find out later, Shawn said the adjuster was right, and he just didn't know how to read the numbers. seriously??).

I'm sure there were some other rude comments made, but those are the ones that stick with me. Oh, and all of this was said to me while my husband was at work and I was 5 months pregnant. As soon as I shut the front door, I broke down in tears, he was that rude and disrespectful. Just because we have home owner's insurance that's paying for the majority of our roof replacement gives him the right to talk to me like a have a million bucks to shell out? I'm not rich and I also have a family that I need to feed so it's not like we just have hundreds of extra dollars laying around to use.

So yes, one star because one, I can't give zero stars, and two, the roof did come out nice, but no thanks to the owner. It just makes me wonder how he's been in business this long and how many other clients he's screwed over in the past and how many more he might screw over in the future!
