Wow! With all the rain last night we developed a sudden leak upstairs and went to bed listening to it drip drip drip into a bucket, feeling more and more tense with each passing hour. We called McLeran and left a message, hoping to hear back sometime the next day. We got a call back at 7:30AM! And they arrived to save the day by 8:30AM, cleaning out all the stopped up gutters, checking the roof, stopping the leak, and all for an incredibly reasonable price! But frankly, the most remarkable thing was the speed of response. Needless to say, this is the best service I've ever experienced from any home-related service provider.. ever. Thank you McLeran!

I needed my roof replaced for my house in Sausalito. McLaren Roofing had the best price and by far the best service. Family owned and operated company that continues to have full pride in their work. I absolutely love my roof. The job was quick, clean and they had no problems working with another contractor who installed the skylights at the same time. Highly recommend Mclaren Roofing!

Highly recommended.........I was desperate to get a leak repaired before I left for the Christmas holiday and before the El Niño rains started. Called on Monday, Brian came out to inspect the roof on Tuesday, received the contract via email on Wednesday, and on Friday a workman had done the necessary work.......and this at the busiest time of the year! McLeran is an efficient and reliable family-owned company. They will be the ones I call when I need a new roof.

Can't say enough good things about McLeran roofing. They did some work for me in the past that I was happy with. But I was REALLY impressed by their responsiveness when a skylight started leaking on Sunday (of course!) and they had their guys out here by 9:30 am on Monday. And this happened on the Monday before Christmas! I recommend them highly.

I called based on recommendation from a neighbor who used McLaren and provided great recommendation, however my experience with the front end of the office totally turned me off from their message on phone to the we are too busy and you need to call after next year! Wow! I didn't e pact an immediate appointment and realize that roofers are busy at this time of year but I wouldn't expect to be so rudely shut down!! Absolutely UNAMAZING customer service!

We had to call these guys to help take a look at the roof of a house we were currently in contract to buy. I was pretty desperate as one roofer told me it was a disaster and said the entire roof had to be replaced, whereas a home inspector said it was fine.

My realtor spoke with the owner, who came out himself to look at our roof. Not only did he charge and extremely reasonable rate of $150 for an inspection, (other companies charged $250 - 295 and wold not even come out as they said they were too busy), but he gave an extremely detailed and HONEST assessment of the roof which was that is was TOTALLY FINE.

I will use the guys in a heartbeat if ever I do need someone no doubt. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was that their office manager Sara was EXTREMELY rude to deal with, and frankly had I not been desperate I would have gone elsewhere. But my realtor said Brian was so awesome on the phone with her that I reconsidered and am so glad that I did. Its funny I noticed the only bad reviews they seem to get are due to the prickly reception and utter lack of customer service that Sara seems to think is OK. Please Brian talk to her, she is not representative of what seems to be a great family business and your high level of customer service!

I could not be happier with McLeran Roofing. It has been pouring rain for a week now and I called to see if I could arrange to get three separate holes in my roof patched. I was aware they would be busy but I was told they could not even look at it for 30 days as this sudden rain has got them overwhelmed with service calls. I understood. I thanked them for their time and we ended the phone call. 10 minutes later, Tarry call be back and asked where I lived. It was on his way to another job and kindly agreed to swing by and look at the problem. Thirty five minutes later he was on my roof and quickly identified the holes. He patched them, and by the looks of it I'll make it to summer.
This summer when I replace the roof, I will be calling McLeran Roofing and getting a proper roof installed. Tarry saved my house from further damage and the price he charged me was a gift. This is a good honest company.

I contacted McLeran Roofing the week of Thanksgiving. Spoke to 'Sarah' about a possible roof leak. I inquired about an inspection and an estimate. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, she would open a 'job card' and - maybe - someone would inspect the roof after Thanksgiving (Friday or Saturday). Telling her I was vacationing, she said I didn't need to be home for a roof inspection. She also said if no one could inspect the roof, then at least I would be in the queue ('job card') for an inspection. After Thanksgiving and upon my return, I contacted 'Sarah' and asked if someone inspected the roof. She said 'no'. When I asked when would someone be able to inspect, she passed me to 'Brian' for an answer. Brian couldn't tell me either stating in a blunt, unprofessional manner that ""as long as he was in the office speaking to people on the phone, he wouldn't be able to inspect/repair roofs"". Really, Brian, I am the reason you are in the office as oppose to repairing roofs? Shame on you - and I told him so. McLeran Roofing never contacted me. No worries for me as I have since contacted two reputable Diamond Certified roofers in Marin.

I just called and mentioned we had a leak near a skylight at which point this woman who answered the phone refused to help me saying since it was a skylight she would send me to another contractor who would check if the skylight was leaking. It was NEAR the skylight but not the skylight itself and the roof also has another leak around the chimney and I wasn't even able to get a word in edgewise with this woman. Bad bad representative for the company. I imagine once you get around her it must be a good company since all the reviews indicate that.. What a rude conversation that was.
