I discovered water damage on the ceiling of our bedroom last month and immediately freaked out. We had solar panels installed directly above that area 7 years ago and my biggest fear was that it would cause a roof leak. Everything was fine until the heavy rain we had this past winter. Another neighbor had recommended Mike for roof repair, so I contacted Mike to let him know my situation. Mike was very responsive and was able to come out to provide a free estimate. His prices are fair. He even spoke with the solar company to let them know what needs to be done so he can assess the cause of the leak and make the necessary repairs. Mike provided a detailed invoice and photos of the damage and repairs for me so I can submit it for reimbursement from my solar company since I was still under their roof penetration warranty. Mike and Oscar did a great job finding the cause of the leak, which ended up being a cracked tile around the bracket where the solar panels were installed. Oscar was able to finish the repairs all in the same day. We will definitely call Mike again for roof inspections and repairs.

I had a leak from the roof into my kitchen from the rain. I called Mike and he came over and diverted the water on the roof from the area it was leaking. Told me it would be a couple of weeks before he could fix it. To my amazement he had his guys at my home earlier than expected. I have used McKay Roofing before and Mike never disappoints. Southern California - not known for getting vast amounts of rain all at once. Last week proved to be the exception to the rule in this area and as a result my 23-year-old roof proved that it could spring not one but six leaks! Went to home advisor, filled out all the appropriate information and was matched with three different contracts. THANK GOODNESS MIKE WITH MCKAY'S ROOFING WAS ONE OF THE CONTRACTORS. This is what you NEED to know about their work. 1. Mike was fast in getting in touch with me and was able to give me an estimate on repairs the same day he contacted me. 2. He was able to get me on his schedule for the very next week. 3. He took before and after pictures and sent them to me so that I could see the work that had been done. 4. He was extremely honest about what needed to be done going forward so that these types of leaks were less likely to happen in the future. I have heard horror stories about roof leaks and the repairs that are done by less than reputable companies, McKay's Roofing demonstrated from start to finish exactly how this type of situation should be handled and how to make the customer feel like everything will be okay. This is the bottom line, while I hope I don't have a week like this again - slab leak and roof leak all in one week - if my roof does happen to have a problem down the road, I know who I will be calling and that I don't need to worry about quality because I know McKay's will go above and beyond to fix the roof right.

Excellent work by Mike on my roof repair. Very cost effective, less than the lowest cost the home inspector thought it would be.
Very thorough, used new tiles, before and after work pics, pics showing the repair with estimate and estimate included insurance docs.

Usually you have to ask for all this, Mike does it as part of the job.
Very honest, my neighbor had his roof inspected and Mike recommended some minor cleaning, nothing else.
I was under a crunch due to unreasonable buyers, Mike punched through his schedule to get me in right away, went the extra mile to help me out.
He is a good guy, does good work, and is legit.....

Not good at leaving reviews, but quality of work and quick service definitely deserves a timely review. I have had work done by Mckay's Roofing on two separate occasions; which, one of them was just done recently. I was very impressive with the work done on my roof the first time as I had a leak on my valley and some additional work needed to be done. So far the leak is gone and the roof looks great. The work on the second leak on a completely different valley was done yesterday and it looks great but we will see how the second one comes out regarding any leaks but based on his first job and pretty sure that the job was done right. I read other reviews were people complain as to efficiency on McKay's scheduling, servicing them immediately, etc, etc, etc. But what people don't realize is that there are other people who need to be serviced first and the reality is that not everyone can be serviced while it is raining and just because you call doesn't mean that everyone needs to be forgotten. Nonetheless, I highly recommend McKay's Roofing!!!

I got five estimates and McKays was the most reasonable and I could tell just by looking at the quote that he was more thorough in his estimate. He identified a leak in my chimney and fixed it without extra cost! He got the job done within 3 days of giving me the estimate with no fuss!!!! 10/10 would recommend

Mckay roofing is a great company. The owner Tom did a fabulous job installing vents in our existing roof. His prices are very reasonable, our original roof couldn't even come close to Tom's prices. Tom was very detailed in the placement of the vents and very professional
