Years ago I had a major roofing company install a new roof. A lot of their business was industrial - my job was small potatoes. As soon as the roof was complete, they took off for a more lucrative job, and it was many weeks before they returned to clean up. Even then, they left some rubble and many many nails behind.

In 2004 ;four hurricanes passed through Gainesville and we lost our roof; a friend in the building trades recommended McDavid. We were very pleased with their work and their professionalism. In 2022 it was time for a new roof again, and McDavid completed the job in three days.

It cost less than I had anticipated. The crew were friendly, polite, and very competent. I was home most of the time, and noticed that they talked little and worked steadily. I was amazed when they apologized for the mess - I don't see how you can tear a roof off a house without making a mess. On the afternoon of the third day they cleaned it all up down to the last scrap and even rehung the plants.

I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

The business operation is very professional. First day of work was a full crew and went quickly. The next 10 days there were two workers. Took numerous breaks and long lunches. They were very proficient in sitting in garage if van smoking and texting. Work went on forever. Left tools and debris in yards. Neighbors complained. Quality of new roof is very good.
