Apparently, in spite of explicitly telling Westhaven Solar who dented our gutters, that they may not have someone come here to replace it if we're not present, McCarthy came by to replace the most prominent gutter at the front of our house.

The gutter, rather than curved smoothly to match the others appears to be ""bent"" in small increments to reproduce the original curve. As a result, there is a noticeable crease that runs the full length of the gutter.

This isn't the side or back of our house. It's immediately next to the front door where every day I come back to my house and am reminded first that Westhaven damaged our home..

It's not McCarthy's fault. They are following up with the original gutter vendor to learn more about the gutter itself

I had an at-times-challenging and other times reasonable and constructive conversation with Tim McCarthy. I am left feeling confident that he takes his work seriously and has pride in his work. His bedside manner bounces between competent and helpful and derisive and patronizing. He wanted to treat me to an in-depth explanation of gutter manufacturing which is immaterial to the results of the repair to restore our home to its original condition. It's a moot point. As long as his work is good, I can deal with the small insufferable affronts and moments of being treated like ""the little lady.""

The jury's still out on this ordeal. McCarthy are apparently working with Westhaven to craft a defense against my concern about the crease all the entire length of the gutter.

But the damaged one has been replaced with one that's structurally sound. I can give them that.

My neighbor liked the work Tim did on my house, so recently my neighbors had him replace his gutters. While Tim and his guys were doing my neighbors gutters, they noticed something with my gutters (I never saw it). Tim knocked on my door, told me and fixed it. Service ""101"", Tim must have nailed it in that class. It doesn't get any better then that.

We have a 1942 bungalow with lots of bends in roof detail, gutters installed professionally, no leaks, no problems.

I highly recommend services from McCarthy Sheetmetal.

Tim came out to my home on a weekend, gave me a competitive bid, and scheduled the work a couple weeks out. It took only one day for the instalation and the gutters made my home look updated and upgraded.

I've dealt with many contractors in the past and these guys are great!

I give them an A+
