Best roofer in the entire Bay Area - by far! We did extensive research for our roof replacement because our house has some special custom features and requires care and attention. We could not be more pleased with Stephen Lee and his crew. They gave us a good price and they did a fantastic job. All our questions were answered and the special touches, like using copper in some places, were handled perfectly. Even an unusual windstorm during the night, which was worrying, and a little rain did not cause a problem. One thing I really appreciated was the attention to detail and especially all the good clean up. Lee himself picks up debris as he walks around. He was recommended by a friend who is also a contractor and another friend, a former roofer, saw the work when it was done and praised it. Lee deserves all these spectacular reviews. If you want very high quality work, dependable and agreeable service, do hire Stephen Lee.

I was very much satisfied and pleased with the services they did to my roof. However, I still don't have the vision of their finish product to my roof because I'm still awaiting for the pictures they have taken. I must say they have a busy schedule but they took the time to live up to their promises on when they can start and finish the job. I'm hoping to see the pictures and I hope they find time to send it to me.

I live in old Victorian house which is over 110 y.o. and has a pitch roof. The roof is complicated, has a light well, lower roof and I also wanted to install a roof window. I called Master roofing company based on reviews and after meeting with Stephen and receiving his estimate for a new roof, I chose his proposal. He is punctual, intelligent, knows all specifics, easy to talk to. He understood right away how I want to frame the light well and redo the Dutch gutters. His crew is knowledgeable and can do carpentry as well as roofing. I watched the workers and being an engineer myself, I was impressed with their craftsmanship. A new roof was needed on our condo earlier this year and we received a few quotes including one from Master Roofing. We choose Master Roofing not only based on price but also based on the Stephen Lee's responsiveness to all of our questions, his timeliness in returning phone calls and meeting appointments, and his explanations of what work would be done and why.

This professionalism continued throughout the entire job. His crew was efficient, friendly, polite and they definitely knew what they were doing. They started on time every day and before they left, they made sure everything was neat and clean. The job started on the day which was agreed and finished as planned. As might be expected in a 100+ year old house, there was some rot found in one area underneath the old roof. Stephen explained to us what needed to be done, and his crew accomplished this as well (including repainting siding which they replaced!). At the end of the job, the extra cost which we were charged for this additional work was very reasonable.

We've had a few rain events since the roof went on, and we are extremely happy with how it's performing. There was one minor glitch we noticed which was not a leak but water accumulating in the ""Dutch"" gutter. Stephen sent his crew back to fix this within a few weeks, and the work was done without charge.

I highly recommend Stephen Lee and his crew with Master Roofing.

His crew did an excellent job. They were punctual, dependable, hard-working, and respectful. They swept-up around the yard at the end of each day and kept things clean. Their workmanship was high-quality and detail-oriented. They finished the job on time.

Stephen was great. He always answered my texts and calls. His price was right. Most of all, he went out of his way to do an excellent job. One example: when the crew removed the old flashing, some of the paint peeled. I don't think this is their fault...it would have happened to anyone. Stephen had his crew paint the area! This saved me from having to hire a painter. I was blown away by this service.

Stephen is an excellent craftsman. I had him custom design copper vents for my chimneys. He did a beautiful job. I could not be happier with the result...the copper vents add a custom, elegant touch to the house. Of course, the roof itself turned out great too.

Overall, I could not be any happier with my new roof or Master Roofing Systems. Stephen is an honest guy, he is easy to work with, and he will give you a superior product. I highly recommend them. ******

Excellent company. Mr. Lee, the owner was so helpful and gave me an excellent quote - much much better than the 3 other estimates I got. All work was done with quality workmanship and everything on the contract was done. His crew was great and very professional and left the workplace clean. We had a modified bitumen roof installed because it was a flat roof. It was great to work with them. Now I can rest assured that my roof will last me another 20 years. THANKS MASTER ROOFING!!

Steven has been demonstrating professionalism with high integrity. He has rich experiences. He had completed roofing job for my house in Palo Alto about 11 years ago. My house has roof with large custom skylight and we have high wind during the winter time. There is no roofing issue for last 11 years. He is very friendly and easy to work with and listen to the customer.

I was very much impressed with his excellent roofing workmanship for the one of Silicon valley's CEO's house project in Atherton as a reference. I found out that he was selected by a well known architect for the project after stringent screening process.
