Master Roofing and Pierre Holkovich, its owner, installed a new roof on our San Francisco home in 2016. He warranted his work with a 20 year warranty against damage cause by his work. Fast forward to 2022, a a leak that had apparently been going on for several years finally made its way into our living room wall as a cracked and bulging surface. The leak clearly came from Holkovich not sealing a gap between the shingles and a semi-circular eyebrow ornament on the front of the roof. When we have tried to reach him over the last several weeks he has not answered his business phone and today it turned out that he has disconnected his business phone. Unreliable as a worker and unreliable as the owner of a business. Just beware if you plan to hire Holkovich to repair or replace your roof. He is unreliable!

Pierre Holkovich is a charming, opportunistic, and untrustworthy person. He makes promises he does not keep and looks for opportunities to pad his bill with extra charges. I hired him because I had water pooling on a small flat part of my roof (15 by 23 ft) . He reassured me that he could create a slope on that roof using layers of silicone. I asked him multiple times if he was certain the water drains off the repaired roof. He repeatedly reassured me that it did. When I tested the roof myself with a hose, I found that there were several places where the water pooled. I paid him $26,600 for his work and asked for a detailed itemization of the work he had done. He never sent me the itemization or a receipt for his work. He should not be allowed be to practice as a roofer.

Gave us a realistic estimate and stuck to it despite unexpected material cost increases after the bid. Worked through the heatwave and fire smoke to get the job done quickly ... always courteous and cleaned up by end of day. Great looking result!
