Master Craft Roofing

Back in early December during the heavy rains, our townhouse ceiling started leaking. I reached out to a few roofing companies to get an estimate on a repair. I called Master Craft but their message said that because they were so busy they were not scheduling any new repair jobs, only roof replacements...so I hung up. Within a couple of minutes I received a call (which I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number) and then a text apologizing for not being able to answer my call. I texted back to thank them for replying and explained that I had hung up since they weren't doing repairs. I briefly explained out situation but figured that would be the end of the conversation. Instead, they offered to swing by the next day between jobs and if it was something they could quickly fix then he'd take care of it right then and there. I figured, great, they can come take a look while I waited to hear back from other companies. Within a few more minutes, they texted back after taking a look at the roof using google earth and started asking more questions about the roof. Turns out, I was texting with the owner, Joseph...I was very impressed at how responsive and proactive he was, especially considering I had not heard back from any of the other companies as of yet.

The next day, he texted me prior to arriving even though I had told him the day before that no one was going to be at the house. Immediately after his inspection (as in, he was still on the roof), Joseph sent me a bunch of pictures and texted me to briefly describe the problems he found. It was clear from the pictures that the roof was in really poor condition, which wasn't surprising as it was 24 years old and hadn't been maintained. Once down from the roof, he called me and explained in great detail what he found, what the pictures were showing, and how improper installation resulted in the roof failing in a number of areas in addition to where it was leaking. It was obvious he really knew his stuff and was passionate about his job.

I asked him to provide a quote to the HOA for not only my roof, but the attached unit as well (part of a duplex) as well as the other building on the property (4 townhouses in all). I'm the type of person who would rather pay a little more in exchange for a better product or service and thought their quote would be on the higher side of the ones we were getting. Since this would be covered under the HOA, I figured they would choose to go with the least expensive option no matter what and that it was unlikely that we'd go with Master Craft.

I had contacted 7 companies in all. One stopped responding after initial contact, another apologized but said they were too busy to come out, one charged just to take a look at the roof, another said it only needed to be repaired and that the roof was in decent condition, while two others found similar findings as Master Craft. I didn't have any faith in the company that said the roof was in decent condition because I had seen the pictures from Joseph. They obviously had the lowest quote which we disregarded. Of the three ""legitimate"" quotes we received, to my surprise Master Craft was actually the best in terms of cost and included services.

From the time I first contacted them to when we received the quote was 1 week. Unfortunately, the HOA was very slow and indecisive. They kept changing their minds and we went back and forth on roof repair vs replacement, on which company to go with, and on and on. At one point the HOA decided to go with Master Craft and, after I notified Joseph, the HOA changed their minds and wanted to get one more quote. Through it all, Joseph remained very patient with us and extended the quote for beyond the 1 month as stated in the contract. Finally, after 2.5 months, the HOA decided to go with Master Craft to replace the roof on both buildings.

Through the entire process, Joseph and Alex (project manager?) were awesome to work witt. Very knowledgable, superb customer service, and extremely patient. Communication with them either by text, email, and phone was so easy. I would get a response from them usually within minutes and never more than a few hours, no matter what time of day or night I reached out to them.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Master Craft and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Found a small leakage in one of our bedrooms after heavy rain & winter storms recently. Called Master Craft and some other roofers. Quickly set up an appointment over the phone with Master Craft. Rick show up on time and found out immediately the cause of leakage. He was able to came back to fix the leakage on the same day. Now after several days of heavy rain, we do see the leakage has been stop. He also check in periodically to see if the problem has been fixed. He is professional, friendly and truly care about customers! Highly recommend Rick from Master Craft!

We noticed a leak in our roof during a rain storm and needed an emergency fix before the rain started again. After calling many places with no luck, I was able to get in touch with Lorenzo. He happened to be in the neighborhood and was able to get to the house within minutes. He added sealant to fix the leak and assessed a potential other problem. He was friendly, quick, and insisted on not being paid. Wow, that's rare. He even said he would come back in a few days to fix the other problem for free (since he had run out sealant on this trip). Lorenzo's work ethics is second to none. He came in to see the leaks around the house and scheduled to fix it asap. They found a few leaks due to squirrels and fixed the issue on the same day. Customer service is top-notch and communication is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this company to family and friends. They even honor warranty work from their previous company. This is a review that's long overdue. Joe and his team replaced my entire roof in May 2022 with GAF Timberline HDZ RS Shingles, which I have no idea what that is. All I can say is the whole process was well communicated, Joe was very responsive, responsible and friendly. The new roof looks great. It was a job well done! Highly recommend!

This review is long past due but Joseph had installed a brand new roof for my family and a new gutter system. We were moving from one house to another and we needed the roof done on the new home in a timely manner. We have a 4200 sq foot home and Joe and his crew were able to complete the work in 3 days. Any issue that came up, Joe addressed it immediately and he worked with us in resolving our problems.

A year later, anytime we have any questions about anything that might impact our roof ie solar panel recommendation, patch up chimney work that might not have to do with the work he has done for us; we still call Joseph for advice because we trust his judgment and recommendation.

Joseph runs a small business and overall is just a really good person. He takes pride in the work that he completes and I find that so rare dealing with vendors in the construction business. We just wish we could find more vendors like this!

It's been a very stressful week for our family due to a roof leak over our nook. Our home has a fairly new roof (~3-4 years), and we weren't worried about the atmospheric river we were experiencing. That is until I saw water running down the windows and light fixtures.
I tried calling some roofing companies that I had references for, but they didn't respond. My solar company was not able to schedule an appointment for inspection right away. Whenever there was a downpour, the rain water found another low point. It was a disaster.
Luckily I was able to find Joe at Master Craft Roofing. He immediately answered my call, and came to our house to do an inspection. Right away we knew that he is good at what he does, and that we could trust him.
Joe is empathetic and knowledgeable. Throughout the process, he was responsive and patient with my questions. His crew was also excellent. They were able to find the source of the leak and repair it. They also cleaned up and took all of the roofing materials right away.
It's been a stressful time, but we found a wonderful roofer that we can trust. We are very thankful and would highly recommend Joe and his crew to anyone who needs a roof repair or replacement.

Joe is a great guy to work with. He is very knowledgeable, resourceful, and accommodating. His team did great work on our roof which was both gabled and flat. It's hard to find a company that can do both types of roofs, is GAF certified, and has competitive pricing. So glad we found Joe and his crew. My husband and father-in-law were very impressed with the finished product. Can't recommend enough.
