Massie Roofers have done several jobs for our family over a couple of decades. We have always found them professional, responsive and knowledgeable. They replaced my flat garage roof and have now replaced my tile roof. After the last rain, we discovered an interior leak and Eric, the owner, had a crew out to tarp the area before the end of the day, since more rain was predicted. As soon as the storm passed, he had the crew out here to fix the roof and ensure that it would be safe in the future. Every time they have done work for us, they have been neat and cleaned up the work area completely. The company also helped with referrals to fix the interior damage and the gutter problem, as well. I highly recommend Massie Roofing!

Do NOT use this roofing company under any circumstances. They do not stand behind their work, the overall quality of labor and materials is extremely inferior and they are not accountable or responsive. Save yourself time, effort and grief. Look anywhere else but here for a good roofing company.

This business doesn't deserve your time. I called, made an appointment and they called back the day before to verify. I set aside 3 hours of my day to get blown off. I should have read their crappy reviews....my bad!

We have just had our roof finished by Massie Roofing and it has been a wonderful experience. Communication with Eric was excellent throughout. Even more important, the work itself was completed without a hitch, and that in spite of scorchingly hot weather. The positive experience began with the first day of the project: Massie's demolition team, ""the wreckers,"" came and did their job in a veritable whirlwind of activity. There must have been a dozen of them. And make no mistake, it is a very messy, noisy business (as it has to be). What blew us away, however, was that after that first day, when the dust had settled, we found our gardens immaculate, incredibly clean. We were deeply impressed by this. The positive experience only continued as the roofers, Jesus, Abel and Sergio, came and did a beautiful job on our home and garage - each day of the 2 1/2 week project they were unfailingly polite and conscientious, and their finished work is, as I say, beautiful. In fact, we've had so many compliments from neighbours it's liable to go to our heads! And once again, with everything finished, they have left the place immaculately clean. Over the two plus weeks Eric came to check on the progress nearly every day and communicated with us every step of the way. We are very satisfied customers and cannot recommend Massie enough!

So it's raining, and once again water is pouring through my ceiling. I had them put on an entirely new roof in August of 2008. About 6 months later they needed to fix a leak when the first rain occurred. Later that year another leak occurred in a different room. There was a reoccurring leak in the same spot over the years which resulted in repeated damage to the ceiling. Ultimately, the Better Business Bureau was involved. They attempted to fix it again but did not. I was woken up this morning by my child reporting that water was pouring through his ceiling. I have experienced significant distress over the years due to Massie's inability to properly perform the service I paid for. Please choose another roofing company and avoid my experience.

Have had Massie Roofing for a couple of small leaks over the years, and Eric is very polite, honest, and the jobs were done reasonably.

Massie Roofing came highly recommended by two friends who used them for services. They did an amazing job in replacing the roof to our home and garage. Eric provided an estimate in a timely manner, laying out options to fit our budget. They gave a time frame of one week to get the job completed and by the end of the week all of the work was finished to our satisfaction. Eric provided clear communication from day one and was responsive to our questions. We are so happy with the look and color of our new roof.

Called for a repair last year guy came out and I waited weeks for a report we did the repairs. The next year it leaked again. I called several times and they told me someone would call me back and schedule an inspection. They never called back it has been a month.

Unfortunately I had the same experience as many of those who wrote earlier. Eric came out, was very knowledgeable, and promised an estimate. Despite my phoning twice and emailing once, he never sent an estimate. The second time I called a woman answered and said, with a discouraged voice, ""He never sent an estimate? I'll remind him.""

I had used Massie for years. It seems to have changed ownership - in the past it was an older man who came out, was very knowledgeable, and took care of things immediately.

Eric finally got back to me and said ""we are able to provide an estimate at this time""

I emailed back:

Seriously?
I wish I could thank you for the reply, but after a solid year of waiting for a proposal from you, this is all I get?
Is there a reason you are not presenting an estimate ""at this time'?
Is there a reason you never returned any of my calls? I called steadily twice a week for months
Is there a reason you never even answered my email?

I would have totally understood if you had just told me you weren't interested in my job. But, you never did. You just kept me hanging.
I am really perplexed on how you can do business this way.

I'm not a big fan of Yelp. I feel most people only use it to complain about a vendor or falsely praise one.
In this case however and based on my frustration in dealing with you that I will be posting this experience on Yelp and detailing this whole issue.
As an architect, I am asked frequently to recommend various building sub-contractors. Massie Roofing will no longer be on my list of recommendations.

I'm not mad, ....just very disappointed.
I hope your present customers are fairing better than I have.
