Based in Shreveport, LA, Martin Specialty Coatings delivers complete coating solutions. Our focus is on providing complete solutions for industrial facilities and commercial construction. Our offerings include roof restoration, resinous flooring, and a custom coatings shop featuring both liquid and powder options.

In 1946, Martin Painting and Decorating was launched by Edward Martin as a residential painting service. With Mr. Martin at the helm, the business shifted focus from residential painting to serving commercial and industrial clients with high-performance coatings and resinous flooring.

In 1976, Mr. Martin rebranded the company as Martin Specialty Coatings, Inc. to highlight its coating specialties. In 1987, the company was passed down to his sons, establishing it as a second-generation family business.

Our headquarters was moved to a more spacious location in 1992 to facilitate our growth. We also expanded our product offerings to include shop-applied coatings. In 2005, we expanded our services to include powder coating.

Currently, we serve clients within a 300-mile radius of Shreveport with our full-service coatings. We are proud to be a third-generation company with a team of over 100 employees, many possessing over 20 years of experience.
