Based in Shreveport, LA, Martin Specialty Coatings delivers complete coating solutions. Our focus is on providing complete solutions for industrial facilities and commercial construction. Our services encompass roof restoration, resinous flooring, and a specialized coatings shop with liquid and powder finishes.

In 1946, Edward Martin founded a residential painting business named Martin Painting and Decorating. Mr. Martin led the company to evolve from residential painting to providing specialized coatings and flooring solutions for commercial and industrial sectors.

In 1976, the company was renamed Martin Specialty Coatings, Inc. to reflect its diverse coating offerings. The company became a second-generation family business in 1987 when Mr. Martin's sons acquired it.

In 1992, we moved to a bigger facility to accommodate our expanding operations. Our product range grew to include shop-applied coatings during this time. In 2005, we introduced powder coating to our services.

Currently, we serve clients within a 300-mile radius of Shreveport with our full-service coatings. Now a third-generation family business, we have more than 100 employees, many of whom bring over 20 years of expertise.
