Based in Shreveport, LA, Martin Specialty Coatings delivers complete coating solutions. We specialize in turnkey services for commercial construction and industrial facilities. Our offerings include roof restoration, resinous flooring, and a custom coatings shop featuring both liquid and powder options.

In 1946, Edward Martin founded a residential painting business named Martin Painting and Decorating. With Mr. Martin at the helm, the business shifted focus from residential painting to serving commercial and industrial clients with high-performance coatings and resinous flooring.

In 1976, Mr. Martin rebranded the company as Martin Specialty Coatings, Inc. to highlight its coating specialties. In 1987, his sons took over the business, marking the transition to a second-generation family operation.

In 1992, we moved to a bigger facility to accommodate our expanding operations. We added shop-applied coatings to our lineup as part of our expansion. In 2005, we expanded our services to include powder coating.

We now offer our complete coating services to businesses located within 300 miles of Shreveport. Now a third-generation family business, we have more than 100 employees, many of whom bring over 20 years of expertise.
