Would not recommend this company. They tried to sue me after my insurance company rejected my claim. I fortunately saved all info and their attorney dropped it. So after not doing any work as they claimed, not able to get the claim handled, not providing a written estimate, they tried to sue me. I only talked to their employee one time, lol.. nobody got on my roof. I am experienced in construction. Another Roofing company did my roof and was awesome. Marlin is not a company I would ever recommend.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
I have no problem @ all with my previous ~20yrs old shingle roof. I invested good amount of money to re-roof the house & expect worry free for a good extend of time, but I was wrong.
The first year, I had gutter issue & was told by the gutter repair guy that the gutter wasn't re-attached properly during re-roof.
The roof is less then 2 years old & I have bad roof leak. The company is dishonest & doesn't stand behind their commitment. I was promised of 15years labor & parts warranty, but when I called, I was told they only warrant for one year labor. Don't trust a company that can't stand behind their work.

Beware. In 2017, I paid Marlin Construction over $70, 000. to replace my roof. Since then my roof has been leaking. They've come out a few times and ignored my calls many other times. Now they are claiming that my warranty is up.

Marlin Construction Group did a terrible job replacing my roof. It poured down rain this afternoon and I went out right after it stopped. Every gutter seam leaks water. Water is dripping at seams of gutters and where soffit attaches to house dripping days after rain. Wood must be wet constantly. Water dark on concrete. (possibly a leak present).
Now I have to spend additional monies to replace gutters and possibly soffit.

Stay away from Marlin Construction Group. Always get proof of work to be done including materials to be us and time frame to be completed. Be sure company hired has all insurance, workmen's compensation and liability insurance.
Do not take anyone's word for it. Get it in writing. Please do this thing. You won't regret waiting.
There are numerous reviews here that show a heinous business practice. After Marlin Construction Group signed a completion order on roof they made a further claim to insurance company of work they never did.

They will rip you off, strong arm you, threaten you, and as someone else said sue you to get your money.

I found the 5 star reviews suspect at best.

That little paper they want you to sign is their CONTRACT. The only contract they need to tear off your roof and replace it. All that is needed for insurance company to make payments.

One additional thing. Always get a list of former customers before signing anything. Marlin Construction Group never old me it was a contract I was signing. They get very angry when questioned. This will show the real spirit of company. Horrible.

Do not even contact this company for an estimate, unless you want to be lied to, cursed at, physically threatened AND potentially sued! In February, 2020, we noticed some water spots on our ceiling in our home in Cape Coral, Florida. We started pursuing some estimates on a repair. A representative of ""Marlin"" came to my home (in March, during Covid19 SAH orders), insisted on coming into my home to get a ""quick signature for permission to go onto my roof to take a look."" My husband had been told the exact same thing on the phone and had alerted me that someone was on their way and I should sign so they could check it out. Turns out, we had considerable wind damage and our insurance company approved, not only a repair, but a new roof to be installed. The insurance company invoked their right to use their own preferred provider. Within 48 hours of this decision, the original Marlin salesperson (Tyler) showed up, unannounced, at our door with the ""co-owner"" of the company. They had been stalking the claim online. The two men stood on our front porch and proceeded to swear at my husband, threaten him, and said that they would sue us for not hiring them, per our contract (umm, what contract?). A few days ago, we received the lawsuit. The paper I was asked to sign for ""permission to go on our roof"" in March, was actually an authorization for payment. This is an ""ambulance-chasing"" roofing company with terrible reviews and we regret ever permitting them on our property. Save yourself a headache. Call Kingdom Roofing instead. They did a fantastic job.

I hired Marlin construction to replace the roof on my house in Cape coral Fl. They showed up the day the promised & as promised they completed the job as promised in 3 days. The job passed both city inspections on the 1st visit. This was a great experience & I will definitely hire them again if I ever need a roofing company again

This is what Marlin Construction considers a finished project. We patiently asked for four months for the roof to be finished and were told to ""f"" off and other expletives by Russel an employee of theirs. Unfortunately, David the owner supported Russel's unprofessional and unjust behavior and would not contact us when we asked him for help in the matter. David instead chose to file an ""intent to lien"" on our home when over $22,900 was already paid and only $1,600 final payment was due. We complied and had to hire and pay another company to finish the roof. For the protection of you and other families in our community I implore you to choose a different local roofer as Marlin Construction's actions show that they do not care about the integrity of their own company, treatment of it's customers, nor our local community.

Tyler from Marlin came over in August 2019 and wrote the contract to replace our roof. He wrote the contract for $23,000 and that included replacement of all soffit, fascia, and gutters. My insurance paid $18,000 up front. It was finally finished in late November after many calls. Now they want to charge me $14,000 more!!! I am happy to pay the difference but I will not pay them more! That is what contracts are for. Now they are threatening me. One owner Dave called and threatened to send Mexicans to sit on my roof, eat tacos and tear my shingles off!
What kind of people are these guys? Rude, lying, and racist! Do not use this company!!!

I hired for simple roofing job to sell my house to a VA buyer. Months of delays, unreturned calls, fights with several employees to get an answer, you name it. Still not done. Leave messages, unreturned. Then they tried to get me to pay for work that was going to ""cost more than they expected"" after they hacked up my pool panels with saws-alls. Roof remains unfinished and now I get the news it won't be done until December. Terrible experience.

Last year a Marlin truck was in front of our house looking at our roof so went to see what they were doing ,he said we had roof damage and he could get us a new roof due to a previous storm. It sounded like a good idea so he had me sign a paper so they could proceed ,After months our insurance company denied it and we thought it was over. well 10 months later we had a tornado go through our neighborhood and really damaged our roof and marlin is holding on to that AOB [Assignment of benefits ] and tring to use it for the tornado damage. We cannot move on with our insurance claim till they drop this and here we are with a damaged roof and possible interior damage if we cannot get it repaired. From what we can tell the way they are going about this it is extortion since they will not do anything until our insurance company tells them what they will pay. Flordia is tring to put a stop to the AOBs but they are still out there BEWARE. Do not sign anything without being told exactly what it is, which we were not We are a retired couple and do not have money to get a new roof ,this is a bad way to do business ,do not deal with this company. Rating not there since there are no Zeros
